Teaching effeicacy is a sense and belief that teachers can effectively complete their teaching goals,and they are gradually formed and developed in the teaching activities.Studying teaching efficacy has significant implications for improving teachers’ personal abilities and predicting students’ learning outcomes.This thesis focuses on volunteer Chinese language teachers in Ukraine,using questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews to investigate and analyze the structure,current status,and influencing factors of their teaching efficacy.Based on this,relevant suggestions are proposed to improve their teaching efficacy.The structure of teaching efficacy for volunteer Chinese language teachers in Ukraine includes five dimensions: teaching control,teaching operation,identification with their own characteristics and teaching styles,emotional experience in teaching,and intercultural communication and cultural communication dissemination.Using SPSS statistical software to analyze the survey data,the results show that the overall teaching efficacy of volunteer Chinese language teachers in Ukraine is at a good level,with intercultural communication and cultural communication dissemination,teaching operation,teaching control,and identification with their own characteristics and teaching styles all at good levels,and emotional experience in teaching at a slightly above-average level.Among the five dimensions,the mean value score for intercultural communication and cultural communication dissemination is the highest,while the mean value score for emotional experience in teaching is the lowest.In addition,This study identifies the main factors that influence the teaching efficacy of volunteer Chinese language teachers in Ukraine based on both the questionnaire survey results and in-depth interview results.The teachers’ international Chinese education experience before going to Ukraine and length of teaching in Ukraine have significant effects on the teaching efficacy of volunteer Chinese language teachers in Ukraine at different levels of individual dimensions.International Chinese education experience before going to Ukraine and length of teaching in Ukraine have a positive predictive effect on the teaching efficacy of volunteer Chinese language teachers in Ukraine.Teachers’ motivation and professional cognition,teaching tasks,teaching methods,teaching environment,foreign support,and major public events also have certain impacts on the teaching efficacy of Volunteer teachers in Ukraine.Finally,based on the results of this study,suggestions are proposed to improve the teaching efficacy of volunteer Chinese language teachers in Ukraine from both individual and management levels.This study enriches the study of volunteer Chinese language teachers’ nationality and provides some reference for improving the teaching efficacy of volunteer Chinese language teachers,hoping to have a positive impact on relevant research on international Chinese teaching in Ukraine.
