At present,red culture tourism is in full swing,and outdoor sports have become an important pillar of China’s tourism industry.The integration and development of the two is an important topic in the research of China’s tourism industry and sports industry.Xiangxi core red scenic area also tends to vigorously develop outdoor sports.In the context of the current integrated development,the status quo and trend of the integrated development of outdoor sports and red culture tourism in Xiangxi,as well as the advantages,disadvantages and external opportunities and challenges of the integrated development of the local outdoor sports and red culture tourism have become important research contents.Therefore,in order to further understand and promote the integrated development of outdoor sports and red culture tourism in Xiangxi city,the present situation of integrated development is investigated by means of literature,field investigation,interview,case analysis and questionnaire survey,and a systematic SWOT analysis is conducted according to the results.In addition,it also makes a case study of Shibadong Village,and finally puts forward an optimal path to promote its integrated development by integrating the previous research and SWOT cross analysis matrix.The main conclusions are as follows:The integrated development of outdoor sports and red culture tourism in Xiangxi is mainly carried out by the cooperation between the Red Scenic area and social enterprises and by external enterprises.Its development plan is mainly to build a red outdoor leisure tour,a red outdoor town or the construction of outdoor quality expansion area in the red scenic spot;The modes include outdoor military experience mode,red landscape outdoor leisure mode,red outdoor competition mode and red outdoor expansion mode.Its integrated development is mainly led by various government departments and implemented by the market,but not managed by a single government department.Market subjects have the tendency of business integration,but the development is relatively weak;Product development is relatively single,and the product lacks uniqueness;Consumers’ understanding of this field needs to be cultivated,but their willingness to know is high and their demands for converged products are diverse.The advantages of the integrated development of outdoor sports and red culture tourism in the red scenic area of the Western Part of The city are reflected in the rich mountain outdoor resources and unique red culture,and the good development of red culture education,and the good development of regional tourism in the western part of the city,with many scenic spots around the red scenic area.The disadvantages are reflected in the single product form of the integration of outdoor sports and red culture tourism in the western part of The city,the insufficient reception and carrying capacity of outdoor sports activities in the red scenic spot in the western part of the city,the imperfect construction of transportation facilities between the scenic spots in the western part of the city,and the inadequate media communication and planning of the new integrated development of the red scenic spot in the western part of the city.The opportunities are mainly supported by regional economic policies,the tourism industry has entered a new era,the demand for party history learning and education bases and the rapid growth of national fitness consumption.The main challenges are the number of red scenic spots in the province,great competition pressure,immature market subjects,lack of industry standards and imperfect training mechanism,lack of comprehensive outdoor talents.Through the case study of Shibadong Village,it is found that the integrated development of outdoor sports and red culture tourism has the following five inspirations for other red scenic spots: in the integrated development,market subjects should be attracted to intervene and comprehensive talents should be introduced;Perfect management mechanism,strengthen management quality;Unite surrounding scenic spots to develop diversified products;Dig out their own characteristics,strengthen brand building and strengthen the use of we media platforms.From the perspective of the optimal path of the integration development of outdoor sports and red culture tourism in Xiangxi,it is necessary to strengthen planning and integration and optimize the integration development strategy of outdoor sports and red culture tourism.Improve the outdoor infrastructure construction of scenic spots and carry out regional red outdoor leisure tourism;Improve the research and development capabilities of fusion products,and build a series of fusion services and product systems;Innovate means of communication and strengthen the publicity of integrated development;Improve relevant policies and systems,reform the integration management mechanism;Combine training and introduction to increase fusion talents;Excavate the connotation of red culture and create a deeply integrated brand.
