This paper combines the author’s own practical teaching experience with a case study research method to conduct a case study of two Chinese children in one-to-one online Chinese classes on the PPtutor teaching platform.The thesis is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction,which describes the background of the study,the significance of the study,the content of the study and the research method,and compares the current research status of Chinese children’s Chinese teaching,one-to-one online Chinese teaching and one-to-one online Chinese for Chinese children and other related contents;The second part analyzes the peculiarities of one-to-one online Chinese language teaching for Chinese children and the theoretical foundation of the thesis,listing the peculiarities of Chinese children and the peculiarities of one-to-one online Chinese language teaching,where the theoretical foundation part focuses on the analysis of children’s cognitive development theory,constructivism learning theory and interactive ritual chain theory;The third part is the main part,which demonstrates the one-to-one online Chinese teaching for Chinese children through case study analysis.This part first introduces the selected PPtutor teaching platform,mainly analyzes the teaching objectives,curriculum and teaching process of the platform,then analyzes the basic situation and personality characteristics of the learners in the teaching case,takes the online course "How about this dress" as an example The teaching practice was carried out and feedback was obtained.Summarizing and comparing the similarities and differences in teaching the two learners,the teaching of both students needed to pay attention to non-verbal communication,maintain high teaching status,heuristic teaching,etc.,and presented differences in the use of teaching language,emphasis on teaching Chinese skills,and explanation of language rules;In the fourth part,the author uses the selected case study as an entry point to analyze the common problems in teaching Chinese language to Chinese children online and put forward targeted suggestions,including platform aspects as well as teachers’ teaching aspects;in the concluding part,the research questions,research conclusions,and problems and shortcomings of this paper’s research are briefly described.Through the research we found some common problems in the learning process of Chinese children,and the paper summarizes some strategies for teaching Chinese online to Chinese children,hoping to provide some new ideas and methods for other Chinese teachers.
