Conjunctionis a word developed from "Er" in ancient Chinese, which has many parts of speech, but it mainly retains its usage as a conjunction in modern Chinese."And" is widely used and frequently used in written language.Whether there is a logical relationship between the components connected by "Er" or the components connected by "Er","Er" has certain complexity. At present, the research on the conjunction "Er" in ancient Chinese has been very rich, and some scholars have systematically sorted out the syntax and meaning of "Er",but in the aspect of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the discussion on the acquisition of the conjunction "Er" by foreign students is still relatively lacking.Based on the BCC corpus, this paper summarizes the usage of the conjunction "Er" from three aspects of syntax, semantics and pragmatics: from the perspective of syntactic function,"Er" can be divided into combined conjunctions and associated conjunctions according to the connection function, and the combined conjunctions can connect words and phrases to form a higher level of language units, which are located in the position of predicate, complement, adverbial or attribute in the sentence, and can connect clauses as associated conjunctions, often indicating progressive and turning points;Semantically,"Er" can indicate progression, transition, juxtaposition, acceptance, hypothesis, causality, modification, etc; From the perspective of pragmatic function, the conjunction "Er" is frequently used in written language with flexible usage, including textual connection function and focus mark function. In the aspect of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, based on the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University, this paper summarizes the types of errors from three levels: syntax, semantics and pragmatics; This paper analyzes the causes of errors from four aspects: language ontology, learners’ personal factors, teaching material factors and teaching methods, and summarizes the causes of errors such as the mixing of similar conjunctions, fixed collocation, the generalization of target language rules, learners’ avoidance strategies, and the unreasonable compilation of teaching materials;Put forward the corresponding teaching strategies of teachers and learning strategies of learners, which can be summarized into teaching strategies such as hierarchical teaching, comparative teaching, situational teaching, and chart presentation, hoping to provide a case for the teaching of the conjunction "Er".
