Teaching design is crucial in the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Targeted and scientific teaching design can improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching and enhance students’ learning motivation.In recent years,online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has developed rapidly,gradually changing from an emergency alternative during the New Crown Pneumonia epidemic to a regular teaching method,and the traditional teaching method based on teachers’ lectures gradually fails to meet the teaching needs of online teaching.Constructivist learning theory is one of the important theories in contemporary pedagogy,which clarifies the subject position of students,the cognitive rules of learners,the role of teaching media and how to create a learning context to help students construct meaning.The teaching content of online Chinese comprehensive class is abstract and complex,involving the training of listening,speaking,reading and writing skills.Teachers need to make full use of multimedia and the Internet to enhance the interactivity and interest of the classroom and help students understand and apply what they have learned,which fits well with the constructivist theory.Therefore,I believe that using constructivist learning theory to guide the online teaching design of elementary Chinese comprehensive classes is conducive to emphasizing students’ subjectivity,strengthening the interactivity and interest of the classroom,and creating a learning context that helps students make language constructions,thus improving teaching effectiveness and enhancing teaching quality.In this context,this paper takes "The Girl Selling Chili Peppers",the third lesson of Book 2 of Elementary Comprehensive of Developmental Chinese,as an example,and uses the constructivist theory as a guide,literature research method,questionnaire survey method,inductive analysis method and interview method to carry out the online teaching design of the elementary comprehensive Chinese class.This teaching design is optimized through teaching effect evaluation and teaching reflection in order to provide reference experience for the online teaching of elementary Chinese integrated class.This paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the reason for choosing the topic,explains the research objectives and the research method,and reviews the current research status of teaching design of Chinese as a second language,constructivist theories and online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Chapter 2is the theoretical basis and pedagogical principles of this teaching design,which mainly describes the appropriateness of constructivist theory and constructivist theory applied to online integrated Chinese language classes and the pedagogical principles based on which this teaching design is based.Chapter 3 is the online teaching design plan of “The Girl Selling Chili Peppers”,including two parts: teaching element analysis and teaching plan.The teaching element analysis part mainly analyzes the teaching environment,teaching materials,lesson types and teaching objects,and the teaching plan includes teaching design ideas and specific teaching processes.The fourth chapter is the evaluation and reflection of teaching,through analyzing the results of the questionnaire survey to evaluate and reflect on the teaching effect and learning effect,and propose improvement measures for the problems appeared in the teaching practice.The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the gains and experiences of this teaching design.
