| With the continuous enhancement of Chinese national strength and the increasing international status,the shaping and dissemination of Chinese image has become a hot topic in the current domestic academic circles.As a medium for international students,international Chinese teaching materials play an irreplaceable role in the external dissemination of China’s national image.The Chinese newspaper reading textbooks used in the advanced stage are different from other comprehensive textbooks.The relationship between the text content selected and presented in the textbooks is very close to the image of China.Exploring the construction of Chinese national image in the advanced Chinese newspapers textbooks is helpful to improve the compilation and use of relevant textbooks.In view of this,with framework theory and narrative construction theory as the main theoretical basis,this study selects three advanced Chinese newspaper reading textbooks published between 2004-2020 as the research object,to explore the construction characteristics of the Chinese image and its development,and then put forward some suggestions for the compilation and use of advanced newspaper reading textbooks.The full text is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background and significance of the topic selected,research object,research review,research methods and theoretical basis,and constructs the national image analysis framework of this paper.Based on the existing research,the image of China presented in the textbooks is divided into eight dimensions: geography,economy,enterprise,culture,national education,education,science and technology,and government.In the second chapter,we analyze the statistics of the three advanced Chinese newspaper reading textbooks and the characteristics of Chinese image in each textbook,and examine the similarities,differences and development trends of the three textbooks in image construction.The third chapter analyzes the characteristics and evolution of the three textbooks in terms of narrative mode,narrative language,narrative attitude and voice.From the perspective of the narrative mode of Chinese images,the narrative person of this textbook tends to be flexible,developing from highlighting the differences between China and other countries to the presentation of the similarities between Chinese and foreign countries;from the perspective of text language organization,the use of rhetorical devices is lower and lower;In the perspective of attitude tendency,the proportion of positive attitude is higher and higher and the proportion of negative attitude is lower;in the perspective of narrative voice,the textbooks focus on the use of different multi-sound intervention strategies.In the chapter four,according to the characteristics of China’s image shaping in this kind of textbooks,we put forward some suggestions for the compilation and use of this kind of teaching materials.From the perspective of textbook compilation,advanced Chinese newspaper textbooks should be oriented towards students’ interests and needs,while balancing the proportion of various image dimensions,such as increasing the proportion of content in economic and technological dimensions.And textbooks may pay attention to the use of civilian perspectives to present the living conditions of ordinary people,achieving the unity of national and global image creation and further adjusting the discourse system and coordinate the relationship between objective facts and value orientation.From the perspective of teaching,teachers should flexibly adjust teaching strategies and grasp the developmental and multidimensional characteristics of Chinese image.In classroom teaching,the relationship between language skill training and China’s image recognition should be well handled.At the same time,teachers may comprehensively use multiple teaching materials and supplement content appropriately,while enriching their own knowledge reserves,etc.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,summarizing this article and proposing the direction of further research in the future. |
