| As one of the most influential writers in contemporary Chinese literature,Chi Zijian is known as the "Daughter of the Polar Region" and the "Elf of the North".Chi Zijian has always appeared in people’s field of vision with a unique attitude.She does not follow any trend of thought or genre,but always sticks to her own unique creative philosophy and aesthetic pursuit.Chi Zijian’s novels are closely related to the folk land.In her writing,she casts a gentle gaze on the ordinary people,and writes about the aspects of human world in the black land of Northeast China.As the meridian in Chi Zijian’s works,folk ethics is the material for her to build the folk world.Therefore,folk ethics in this paper was chosen as the beginning to enter the folk world of Northeast China in the book built by Chi Zijian,and to study the cultural values behind Chi Zijian’s folk ethics writing.There were four chapters in this paper.The first chapter focused on the origins of Chi Zijian’s folk ethics writing.Firstly,the childhood growth experience not only gave birth to Chi Zijian’s local feelings,but also provided Chi Zijian with a source of creativity.Secondly,the infiltration of Confucianism made Chi Zijian pay attention to the folk family ethics and ecological ethics among the people.Thirdly,the folk writing tradition in the history of modern and contemporary literature and the influence of folk culture in Northeast China also prompted Chi Zijian to move her pace of writing to the vast folk land.The second chapter interpreted the folk ethics presented in Chi Zijian’s novels,which is mainly reflected in three aspects: family ethics,life ethics,and ecological ethics.In family ethics,there were both her happy parent-child love and alienated family ethics under conflict in Chi Zijian’s novels.Chi Zijian also paid attention to the marriage ethics under the confrontation between emotions and reason;she respected the inner emotional appeal of the individual and affirmed in literature that everyone has the right to pursue happiness.In life ethics,how one views life itself and how one spends one’s life were the two main problems contained in life ethics.In Chi Zijian’s novels,respecting for life and death,and the philosophical attitude to life were the answers given by the people when facing these problems.In ecological ethics,Chi Zijian called on human beings to return to nature,respect nature,and get close to nature,so as to rebuild the harmony between people and nature;In her novels,she showed an ecological holism ethic and an ecological ethic of "reverence for life".The third chapter analyzed the characteristics of Chi Zijian’s novels in folk ethics writing.The use of mythology and shamanism greatly expanded Chi Zijian’s writing space,the use of folk language gave Chi Zijian’s works a distinct regional color,and the characters of the novel were also established in folk language.At the same time,the narrative of daily life broadened the expressive field of Chi Zijian’s novels.Chi Zijian was good at describing grand history through normal people,and included grand history in the very ordinary details of daily life to reflect the changes of the times.The fourth chapter studied the significance of Chi Zijian’s folk ethics writing from three aspects: the pursuit of folk love and affection,the reflection of modern civilization,and humanistic care illuminated by warm candles.Her pursuit of ideal personality,confusion and reflection on modern civilization,and exploration of complex human nature had inspired contemporary literature. |
