There are a large number of Chinese characters with the radical "氵" that are rich in ideograms,and the radical "氵" is similar in form to "冫" and "讠".The Chinese characters with the radical "氵" are very common and representative in the teaching of Chinese characters to foreign students,while students are prone to the error of not being able to grasp the real meaning of the Chinese characters with the radical "氵" correctly and of not being able to distinguish the Chinese characters with some similar radicals effectively in the learning process.Therefore,this paper focuses on the teaching of Chinese characters with the radical "氵",supplemented by the comparison of the Chinese characters with the radicals "冫" and "讠",with Indonesian Chinese children as the teaching target.The aim of this paper is to help children of overseas Chinese descendants understand the radical family,distinguish the Chinese characters with the similar radicals effectively,improve the efficiency of Chinese character recognition,and explore the theories and methods that have greater generality in Chinese characters.This paper uses statistical analysis,comparative analysis,classroom observation and personal interview to analyze the Chinese characters with the radical "氵" and their morphological close characters in the " International Chinese Language Education Standards " and "Easy to Learn Chinese",and uses the theoretical basis of character theory,character family teaching,morphological close character comparison teaching and rhyme literacy teaching to summarize and analyze,select the key Chinese characters with the radical "氵" and their morphological close characters as teaching contents,and then design an operable teaching plan for literacy teaching.Through teaching practice,we have found that using the concept of radicals as an outline and the concept of character family in teaching can effectively help students to clarify the meaning of the radicals,correctly master the radicals,organize and categorize the learned characters,and thus improve the efficiency of Chinese character memorization;comparing the "氵" radical with its similar radicals the "冫 " and "讠",which are prone to errors,can help students effectively distinguish between characters with similar shapes and improve their ability to recognize and analyze Chinese characters,thus avoiding errors;Using rhyming literacy aids to match children’s cognitive patterns can help students supplement their phonological learning,improve the fun of learning Chinese characters,deepen their understanding of Chinese culture,and enhance their sense of identity with Chinese culture.
