The arrival of"micro"era has brought about a subtle change in human survival and learning mode.As a new educational information technology,micro-course plays an increasingly prominent role in the field of teaching with its characteristics of simplicity,sound and text.However,English grammar is one of the weaknesses of English teaching.Some problems often appear in actual teaching.For example,the students are not enthusiastic and the teaching results are bad.Study shows that the students have a certain difficulty in mastering English grammar.Therefore,the research wants to use the micro-course to assist junior high school English grammar teaching,to research whether micro-course can make a difference to English grammar teaching or not and how to use the micro-course in English grammar teaching.Through reading and organizing relevant literature,combined with the author’s personal understanding,this article summarized domestic and foreign study situation of micro-course,and had a deeper understanding of its advantages.In addition,this article was based on constructivist learning theory,micro-learning theory,situational learning theory,and learning motivation theory.The research focused on student from the 17thMiddle School in Nanchang City,and conducted appropriate research based on their characteristics.On the basis of the actual course,the research chose the key grammar content of Unit 5 in the second volume of Grade 8 to carry out the detailed teaching design of the micro-course,and applied the micro-course example to the real class.Combining with the real teaching situation,the research carried out a teaching practice by using the"in-class"method.After class,the research used tests,questionnaire survey and interviews to obtain a lot of data and materials.After verification,it can be confirmed that the research method used in this study was reliable and the data obtained was efficient.Next,the research carried out an effective analysis on these data,so as to test the application effect of micro-course and summarize the implementation process of the whole study.The results of the survey showed that the students’grades and autonomous learning ability in English Grammar learning have improved.The students and the teachers who took part in the research all said positive things about the effect of the micro-course used in this research.What’s more,the results of the survey also showed that micro-course played an active role in English grammar teaching.Micro-courses can be used as prepare lessons before English grammar teaching class to encourage students to learn by themselves,which is helpful in improving the effect of English grammar learning.The main purpose of this paper is to discuss the application of micro-course in English grammar class in middle school.This topic organically integrates the advantages of micro-course with the advantages of regular classroom presentation,so that students’interests in English grammar have been improved,and their understanding of English grammar has been improved,and good teaching results have been achieved.However,the author has also noticed some problems that need to be paid attention to.According to the problems of teachers and students in the actual work,this topic gives targeted suggestions on the application of micro-course,in order to bring reference suggestions to schools and teachers in the future micro-course,so that micro-course can be better developed.
