According to the English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition),it is necessary to cultivate students with solid basic English language knowledge,basic language skills and proficient English language ability in all aspects of development.Thus it can be seen that the ultimate goals of English teaching and the educational goal of putting scores first have gradually changed.Therefore,it’s necessary to use the emerging micro video teaching mode to improve the attention of the junior middle school students and expand their knowledge,so as to train talents who can adapt to the goal of modern education.And a complete set of application methods of micro-video teaching resources should be formed and promoted to achieve the purpose of establishing a high-quality class.It discusses why micro video should be applied in rural middle school teaching? What is micro video?How do you use micro-video in English grammar teaching in rural junior middle school?At present,the teaching methods of most rural junior middle schools are far behind.These schools cannot meet the needs of the language learners,So that most of the students show little interest in class,not alone learning autonomously.English class is no exception.By reviewing the related references,this study adopts literature study method,experimental method,questionnaire survey,and data analysis method.Based on the problems existing in English teaching of the countryside junior middle school.According to the features of the micro video,short and vivid,the author makes the micro-video as a teaching resource applied to grammar teaching in rural junior middle school.In this study,two grammatical contents,modal verb and past continuous tense,were taken as cases.By setting experimental class and control class,micro-video grammar teaching and traditional teaching modes were adopted for the two classes respectively.The experiment shows that the application of grammar micro-video has innovated the traditional English grammar teaching method.It also can greatly improve students’ interest and enthusiasm in learning grammar.It’s very helpful for students to have a better understanding of the English grammar.
