A Report On The Translation Of Renewable Energy(Excerpt Ⅱ)

In the context of global energy transformation,China has been launching active explorations in the development path of energy transformation in the future.This report takes four chapters(Chapter 6 to Chapter 9)from the book Renewable Energy as the translation material which introduces the market scale,investment prospect and future development trend of renewable energy,so as to arouse readers’ awareness of the current energy transformation,optimize their energy consumption mode and provide enlightenment to scholars involved in studying energy transformation.This report consists of four chapters.Chapter 1 makes an introduction to the original text and clarifies the background,objectives and significance of this translated task.Chapter 2 is the process description in which pre-translation preparation,translation process,proofreading and modification are presented in details.In Chapter 3,under the guidance of the communicative translation theory,the translator adopts the translation methods and techniques such as transliteration,paraphrase,division and reference to solve specific translation problems and difficulties,including culture-loaded words at the lexical level,attributive clauses at the syntactic level and cohesion and coherence at the textual level.In the last part of the report,the translator summarizes her translation experience and reflects on the the limitations of the translation practice.
