The Chinese smartphone game “Honor of Kings” has hundreds of millions of users in China and overseas countries,and many overseas students including me regard it as a major entertainment tool and an important window to understand China.Some scholars have paid attention to the functional attributes of online games as a vehicle for communication and spreading culture,a base for producing community language and an interactive learning environment and teaching support system,and also suggested the availability of the game model and content of “Honor of Kings” in teaching.However,there is no systematic study of the adaptability of " Honor of Kings " in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and its application path in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In this study,we systematically investigate the adaptability of the game mode and the teaching method of Chinese as a foreign language and the adaptability of the game content and the teaching content of Chinese as a foreign language,and design the teaching method and content of Chinese as a foreign language on this basis,and improve the teaching design plan through the feedback of teaching practice,so as to make the most use of the game mode and content of “Honor of Kings” in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The study is mainly divided into five chapters: Chapter 1 is the introduction,which explains the research topic and its significance,conducts a literature review,and proposes the main research content and main problems to be solved in this article;Chapter 2 provides an overview of the utilization space and educational value of online mobile games,which summarizes the characteristics of the cross-field utilization of online mobile games,outlines their educational value,and further clarifies the utilization space and educational value of“Honor of Kings”;Chapters 3 and 4 analyze the adaptability of the game mode of “Honor of Kings” to the teaching method of Chinese as a foreign language and the adaptability of the linguistic and cultural phenomenon of “Honor of Kings” to the teaching content of Chinese as a foreign language through the combing of related literature and the research data for the international student group,respectively.Chapter 5 combines the results of the previous research and analysis to integrate the game mode of “Honor of Kings” with the language and culture phenomenon into the classroom design of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and proposes targeted countermeasures for the game pedagogy and thematic teaching contents in teaching Chinese as a foreign language by combining the classroom teaching feedback.
