| "WeChat","Weibo","Micromovies" and other new things have gradually emerged in people’s vision in recent years.The advent of the "Micro" era is quietly changing people’s traditional teaching and learning methods."Micro class" is a new product of the era of educational information,with its advantages of being short and concise,with both sound and text,its impact in the education sector is becoming increasingly significant.The teaching of English grammar in junior high school is an important part and a difficult point of English teaching.The seventh grade students are at a curious and active age,and there are some problems in practical teaching,such as low learning motivation,poor learning methods,and poor learning effectiveness.In the process of using "micro classes" to teach English grammar in junior high schools,"micro classes" can provide effective introduction,concise teaching,practical review,and other functions,providing more possibilities for improving English grammar teaching in junior high schools.The research question of this study is: What is the effect of using micro-class in junior middle school English grammar teaching? Compared with traditional teaching,what are the advantages and disadvantages of using micro-class in junior middle school English grammar teaching?The research included seven junior high school English teachers and 88 students.The students are divided into two classes with similar English grammar scores and learning abilities.The author takes class A as the control class and Class B as the experimental class.This study first summarizes the current research status of various concepts at home and abroad through sorting out the fields of microclasses,grammar teaching,and the application of microclasses to grammar teaching,to understand the latest research progress of "grammar microclass assisted teaching".Then,the micro-class case is applied to a real classroom,and micro-class teaching based on "in class" is designed.Various forms such as experimental methods,tests,questionnaires,and interviews with teachers and students are used to investigate the impact of micro-class on students’ learning of the past tense,and summarize the advantages and disadvantages of micro-class assisted grammar teaching.The author uses independent sample t test,pie chart and bar chart to analyze the research results.The main findings of the study are as follows: Most teachers and students have a good feeling for microclass-assisted English grammar teaching.Most students like the microclass-assisted grammar teaching method and believe that it has improved their interest,ability,and performance in learning.However,there are significant differences between male and female students.Although both male and female students are very interested in microclass-assisted English grammar teaching,male students prefer microclass-assisted English grammar teaching more than female students.At the same time,in the pre test and post test,the scores of the experimental class are higher than those of the control class,indicating that micro-class assisted grammar teaching indeed improves students’ learning effectiveness.More than 70% of the students said they like the pictures,animations,and music in the micro class,more than 60% of the students said that the micro class increased their interest in learning grammar,more than 70% of the students thought that the micro class assisted teaching of grammar could improve their grades,about 60% of the students thought that the micro class could improve their listening,speaking,reading,writing,and autonomous learning abilities,and 60% of the students thought that they could understand the pictures,videos Nearly 70% of the students said that they would seek advice from others or repeatedly watch micro classes when encountering problems that they would not be able to solve.The research also found that the content and interaction limitations of microclasses make some teachers and students not very satisfied with "microclass assisted grammar teaching",while some students have insufficient learning confidence,and some teachers still have doubts about how to create,download,and use microclasses.As a rural school,it has been found in the research that many teachers are reluctant to use grammar micro teaching due to insufficient software and hardware.Research has shown that,from theoretical and practical cases,conducting practical research on English grammar teaching cases in junior high schools based on micro classes is feasible,and has an important role in English grammar learning and teaching effectiveness improvement.It is a more preferred teaching model for students.At the same time,targeted suggestions are put forward for the problems reflected by teachers and students.However,due to the limited sample size of the study,the results of the study can only represent a small proportion of the population.In future research,it is possible to expand the research object of microclass-assisted English grammar teaching and develop more good teaching examples to achieve the comprehensive promotion of microclass-assisted English grammar teaching. |
