| With the rise of positive psychology at the end of the 20 th century,research on people’s positive psychological indicators has also become increasingly popular.Life Satisfaction is an important concept in positive psychology and is often used as a key indicator to measure individual subjective well-being and mental health.According to the perspective of self-determinism,basic psychological needs are important factors affecting individual psychological growth and well-being,and can significantly predict individual life satisfaction.This article took junior college students as the research object to explore the relationship between basic psychological needs satisfaction and life satisfaction,and conducted group counseling interventions on this basis.The study is divided into two parts: Study 1.A questionnaire survey was conducted using the Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scale,and the Adolescent Student Life Satisfaction Scale among junior college students from a certain university in Jiangsu Province.Finally,508 valid questionnaires were collected.Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to explore the relationship between basic psychological needs satisfaction and life satisfaction;In study 2,based on the results of study 1,24 junior college students with significantly lower scores of basic psychological needs satisfaction and life satisfaction than the overall average score of study 1 were selected as subjects and randomized into experimental and control groups.Group counseling intervention on basic psychological needs topic was conducted in the experimental group.Finally,the differences between the pre and post test data of the two groups were compared to verify the effect of group counseling intervention.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)Basic psychological needs satisfaction and life satisfaction of junior college students is generally above the middle level.(2)There are significant differences in basic psychological needs satisfaction of junior college students in terms of gender and whether only-child or not: basic psychological needs satisfaction of boys is significantly higher than that of girls;basic psychological needs satisfaction of only child is significantly higher than that of non-only-child;There is no significant difference in basic psychological needs satisfaction in grade and registered residence place;There is no significant difference in overall life satisfaction of junior college students in various demographic variables.(3)Basic psychological needs satisfaction of junior college students is positively correlated with life satisfaction,and can significantly predict life satisfaction.The satisfaction of three basic psychological needs(autonomy need,competence need,and relatedness need)has different predictive effects on life satisfaction in specific areas.(4)A total of six group counseling interventions focused on basic psychological needs can improve the satisfaction level of junior college students’ life by effectively enhancing their basic psychological needs.In summary,this study took junior college students as the research object to explore the current situation of their basic psychological needs satisfaction and life satisfaction,as well as the influence of basic psychological needs satisfaction on life satisfaction.Group counseling interventions with the theme of improving basic psychological needs were designed and implemented to verify their effectiveness in improving college students’ life satisfaction,providing new ideas for the practice of mental health education for junior college students. |
