Noises have a bad impact on people's health by causing many illnesses such as hypertension, gastric ulcer, and so on. Traffic noise which is currently the main source of noise pollution has become one of four social effects of pollution in city. Along with the vehicle engine performance and pavement condition improvements, tyre noise has become a main noise sources. Therefore, how to reduce tyre noise becomes an important lesson in the eyes of worldwide corresponding scholars. Previous results show that road surface texture and tire tread pattern have a substantial impact on tyre noise. Since the road surface texture and tyre tread pattern have impact on the tyre noise, whether the coupling relationship of road surface texture and tyre tread pattern has influence on noise?This article from road surface texture and tyre tread pattern coupling viewpoint, expounded the influence of road surface texture and tyre tread pattern on tyre/road noise, using the commercial finite element software ANSYS and boundary element software SYSNOISE software made numerical simulation about tire vibration sound field, completed the numerical computation of vertical contact pressure existing in tyre road contact surface, using tire vibration model and boundary element method calculating sound field established numerical calculation model of noise from a vibrating tyre. Many research results are summarized as follows:(1) Using the finite element software ANSYS and the boundary element software SYSNOISE, considering the tire material nonlinearity and geometrical nonlinearity, tire/road nonlinear contact, the fact that the coupling relationship of road surface texture and tyre tread pattern has influence on noise were confirmed.(2) Road surface texture and tread pattern of geometric morphology were calculated by digital gray level images fractal dimension, and then discreted in space and devided into many equal rectangular element whose height are said by RMS height of sampling points existing in the equal rectangular element. So the coupling of tyre tread pattern and road surface texture was realized.(3) Based on the wave of superposition principle, and using poisson theorem, spatial Fourier transform and Fourier series decomposition of the Green's function of the infinite strip, the Green's function of the circular tire were derived.(4) In tire/road contact model, the connections between were modeled as nonlinear spring, considering the influence of small scale roughness on tire/road nonlinear contact.(5) Tires are simulated as a tension plate supported by elastic bearing, using green's function method to solve the motion equation of tyre, combining with the boundary element method for calculation of the sound field, and establishing the basic numerical model of noise from vibrating tyres. The simulation results are agreed well with the previous research results. Noise from vibrating tyres can be qualitatively compared when different tyres is rolling on different pavements.
