A series of new dinuclear macrocyclic complexes [M2L1(C1O4)2] have been synthesized by [2+2] Schiff-base condensation between sodium 2,6-diformyl-4-chlorphenolate (sdcp) and the reduced 1:1 Schiff base of tris(2-aminoethyl) amine (tren) and 2-acetylpyridine in the presence of M(C1O4)2-6H2O (M = Mn2+, Cd2+, Zn2+, Cu2+). The complexes have been characterized by spectral analysis. The structure of Mn2L1(ClO4)2 was determined by X-ray Crystallography.N,N-bis(2-aminoethyl)-N- ( 2-nitrobenzyl ) amine with three hydrochloric acid was synthesized from nitrobenzene and biethyl-triamine, and was used to synthesize the macrocyclic complexes through the Schiff-base comdensation with 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenolate(L2) and 2,6-diformyl-4-chlorphenolate (sdcp) (L3). All the complexes with macrocyclic ligands L2 and L3 were characterized by spectral analysis.Tri(2-formylphenoxy methyl) amine was synthesized and was used in the Schiff-base condensation with 1,3-propylenediamine and tren to prepare for macrocyclic ligand L4 and chelate ligand L5 and their complexes, Both the ligands and the complexes were characterized by spectral analysis.Complexes with morpholinedithiocarbamato-s,s' ligand and pyrrolyldithiocarbamato-s,s' ligand were synthesized and were characterized by spectral analysis. The structure of tris(4-morpholinedithiocarbamato-S,S') Cobalt(III) acetonitrile solvate complex: [Co(S2CNC4H8O)3] CH3CN were determined by X-ray crystallography.l,2-bi(2'-formylphenoxy) ethane (C16H14O4) has been synthesized by nucleophilic substitution reaction of salicylaldehyde and 1,2-ethylene dioxide, o-aminophenol (C12H14N2O2) has been synthesized by hydrogenation reaction of nitrophenol. The crystal and molecular structures of both the compounds were determined by X-ray crystallography.A series of complexes with Salen ligand were synthesized by the Schiff-base condensation reaction of o-benzene diamine, salicylaldehyde and pyrazine. The structures were characterized by spectral analysis and were described in detail.
