Two series of macrocyclic Schiff-base complexes have beensynthesized by adjusting reaction temperature, solvent, the mole ratio ofthe reactants and reaction time, Cd2L1Cl2(1), Cd2L1I2(2),Cd2L1(HCO22·H2O (3), Cd2L1(CH3COO)2(4), Cd2L2Cl2(5),Cd2L2I2(6),(Cd2L2(HCO223·2H2O (7), Cd2L2(CH3COO)2(8),Cd6(L2)3(SO42CO3(9), Co2L1(dca)2·H2O (10), Zn2L1(dca)2(11),Cu2L1(dca)2(12), Zn4(L1)2(C8H4O4)·2(ClO4)(13),Cu2L1(C14H8O4)·3H2O (14), Co2L1(H2O)4Co2L1(H2O)2-(CH-3O)2·2(C14H8O4)(15), Ni2L1(H2O)4·(C14H8O4)(16),Zn2L2(C8H4O4)·(CH3OH)(H2O)(17), Ni2L2(H2O)4·(C14H8O4)(18)(L1=3,7,15,19-tetraaza-25,26-dihydroxy-11,23-dimethyl-pentacyclic-26-alkane-8-alkene、L2=3,7,15,19-tetraaza-25,26-dihydroxy-11,23- ditertbutyl-pentacyclic-26-alkane-8-alkene). The complexes have beencharacterized by IR spectra and elemental analysis. The crystal structureshave been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Fluorescenceproperty studies indicate that the fluorescence intensity depends much onthe anions and the substitutent of the complexs. The thermal analysisshown that these complexes with high stability.
