The extractions of natural carotenoids, such as capsanthin and lycopene, by supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) and the industrialization have been investigated. The main results as follows:1. The most efficient pre-processing and extraction conditions of paprika oleoresin by SC-CO2 were at 0.3mm,5% and 35℃,30MPa,3.0h, 1.6ml/min, respectively. Above 9.01% paprika oleoresin could be extracted. The industrialization conditions as following: Extraction parameters were at 28-30MPa,32-35℃,3.0h,10L/h; Separation parameters were at 6.0Mpa,50-55℃in the first extractor and 5.0Mpa,43.9-50℃in the second extractor. Above 8.91% paprika oleoresin could be extracted.2. Capsanthin was extracted from paprika oleoresin by SC-CO2 and its extraction rate was 95.85%. The most efficient extraction conditions were at 35℃, 28MPa,2.5h, 1.6ml/min, respectively. There were no any organic residue in the capsanthin and the color value, color ration and capsaithin content of the sample were 1697ASTA, 0.9950% and 0.018%, respectively. The industrialization conditions as following: Extraction parameters were at 26-28MPa,35-40℃,2.5h,10L/h; Separation parameters were at 6.0Mpa,50-52℃in the first extractor and 5.0Mpa,45-50℃in the second extractor. The extraction rate was 95.84%.3. Capsaithin-concentrates were extracted from paprika oleoresin by SC-CO2. The most efficient extraction parameters were at 35℃,14MPa,2.0h, 1.6ml/min, respectively. The industrialization conditions as following: Extraction parameters were at 14-16MPa,35-40℃,2.0h,10L/h; Separation parameters were at 12-13Mpa,50-52℃in the first extractor and 5.0Mpa,44-49℃in the second extractor. The capsaithin were purified from capsaithin-concentrates and its content was 95.77%.4. 7,500,000¥must be invest for building a factory which has 10,000kg capsanthin,0.594kg capsaithin and 25,000kg oleoresin capsicum, and the profit will be 3,039,500¥, payout-period is 2.12 years.5. The most efficient extraction parameters of lycopene by SC-CO2 were at 50℃, 25MPa,3.0h, 1.6ml/min, respectively and the extraction rate was 95.11% in this condition.
