Dynamic Evaluation And Empirical Research On The Value Of Life

Discussion on the economical Value Of Live in some countries has been brought forward for a long period of time while a systematic theoretic model has not been established. With the high speed of economical development, personal harm caused by the Public Security Issues (including accidents in safety working) has been more and more prominent. According to the serious existing state of affairs and the national policy of'people foremost', the evaluation of VOL should be focused on, in order to offer a basis for reasonable compensation of live lost and distributing resource scientifically to reduce loss.Firstly, an overview of current theories and methods on evaluating VOL, such as Traditional Human Capital Method, Improved Human Capital Method, Salary to Risk Method (Labor Market method), Consumption Market (Behavior) method and Condition Value method. Many international scholars'main results were recited.Secondly, as the moral difficulties in research on VOL, the author decomposed the concept of VOL by putting forward whether the life can be priced or not, then peeled the evaluation technology of VOL off moral and ethic issues. The author divided the research on VOL into macro-value and micro-value for different applications.In the empiristic research, via a serial of Hypothesis Condition Analysis, with the premise that all beings sharing all social wealth, the author built the Macro-VOL Evaluation model via reasonably changed statistics data such as GDP. And the author tested the model with real data to work out that the Macro- VOL in China is about 150,000 Yuan in 2005.Simultaneously, three Micro-VOL Evaluation models were built by dividing the items into juveniles and adults (including the old) and distinguishing adults to intellectual employments and manual ones. The model involves human's health factor, educational factor, experiential factor and self-teach factor, etc. And then the author tested the Micro- VOL Evaluation model with empiristic study to work out all ages'VOL range with the analysis of statistics data, that is, a juvenile's VOL is about200,000 to 300,000 yuan, an manual labor's VOL is on an average of about 700,000 yuan, and an intellectual employee's VOL is about 1040,000 yuan on average.Via the application of the result of VOL evaluation, the author analyzed current compensation situation, gave some corresponding suggestion.Finally, the author summarized this research, brought advices to the coming research and gave some suggestion.
