Based on the partition of the facility areas in the urban rail transit hubs, including entrance & exit area, fare collection area, transfer area, platform area and assistant activity area, the characteristics of different layout types of facility areas and passenger flow lines are analyzed and depicted. The methods of partitioning facility areas are applied and analyzed with some examples, providing practical foundation for the modeling and implementing the simulation system of hubs.Based on putting forward the methods of analyzing facilities'adaptability, the evaluation index system for urban rail transit hubs is established, according to general adaptability and Sectional adaptability of hubs'facilities. The index system provides the targets for the simulation system of the hubs.Through analyzing field survey data, the academic behavior models of passenger individual and passenger colony in the urban rail transit hubs are established, providing theoretical foundation for modeling and implementing the simulation system of hubs.Based on the partition of the facility area subsystem, functional sub area and unit-area, as well as the set-up of parameters for unit-area, including area set, area size, using state of facility area and passenger state, the microcosmic simulation models for fare collection area and platform area subsystem are especially established.The methods of simulation optimization's implementation are put forward, including the combination of discrete simulation and continuous simulation, the combination of microcosmic model and macro model, simulation optimization based on heuristic algorithms, visualization of the virtual reality and multi threading control technology. The fixed facilities, train and passenger class models area established with UML modeling tool in the Office Visio. The state models and interaction models for hubs system, entrance & exit area subsystem, fare collection area subsystem, transfer area subsystem and platform subsystem are established with state diagram and activity diagram.Based on the classification of data, system databases are created, as well as the database relation structure diagram is depicted. The methods of creating databases and table structures for the overall system, assistant database and area subsystem are analyzed and put forward.Based on the establishment of the system microcosmic models, class models, state models, interaction models and the creation of system databases, the implement methods of simulation system's functional modules are put forward, including facility layout, facilities'parameter setting, simulation dataset, simulation visualization and simulation results'analysis.Lastly, taking the Dong Zhimen comprehensive transportation hub for example, the facility adaptability index of the line 2's platform area, the northern and southern fare collection area are achieved with research achievements and corresponding facility configuration schemes.According to the results, it is concluded that the methods of using simulation to evaluate the facilities' adaptability in the urban rail transit hubs are reasonable and feasible.
