In the background of the rapid development of urban rail transit, many metropolises areincreasingly forming a developed and complete urban rail transit network. The hub station asthe core part of the urban rail transit system, its distribution capacity and level of service hasdirect effect on the operational efficiency of the system. Therefore, problems at micro-level ofthe hub station and its hub facilities planning and design are gradually becoming the researchfocus.This paper selects adaptability of the urban rail transit hubs facility as the object of thestudy, and analyses the basic meaning of adaptability, and summarizes the domestic andforeign research status, and clarifies the scope and focus of the study. Firstly, According tothe function of each area of hub station and the types of activities engaged by passengers, theurban rail transit hubs facilities are classified into four categories, entrance and exit areafacility, fare collection area facility, railway platform area facility and transfer area facility.Based on the classification of the urban rail transit hubs facility, this paper analyses the layoutform of various types of hub facilities and the property of the major hub facilities andsummarizes the general characteristics of hub facilities to provide a theoretical basis for thehub facilities adaptability analysis and the establishment of adaptability evaluation indexsystem. Secondly, this paper studies the traffic behavior of passengers in urban rail transit hubstations. Through surveying and studying the walking behavior, selecting behavior and groupbehavior of passengers, this paper sums up the micro and macro traffic characteristics ofpassengers in urban rail transit hub stations. Based on the above theory, this paper putsforward the theory of hub environment-passenger interaction to point out that there is aninteraction and complementary relationship between passengers and hub environment, andelaborates the interaction relationship between the traffic behavior of passengers and theinteraction relationship between the traffic behavior of passengers.Through the analysis and study of the characteristics of hub facilities and passengers,adaptability of urban rail transit hub facilities is classified into two aspects, including overalladaptability and local adaptability. And this paper establishes adaptability evaluation indexsystem of urban rail transit hub facilities from multiple levels, including the distributioncapacity of hubs and the service level of hubs, the supply level, utilization and reliability, etc.This paper improves the traditional method of gray incidence degree method and puts forwardmethod of weighted grey incidence degree to be used in hub facilities adaptability evaluation,and explains the calculation process and superiority of the method. Method of weighted grayincidence degree adopts objective weight assignment method and considers the impact of fluctuation value and its sample collection is simple and easy to calculate, making the resultsof the evaluation accurate and reliable.Lastly, this paper selects Xinjiekou rail transit hub of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province asadaptability evaluation instance. In the case study, this paper applies established adaptabilityevaluation index system and the method of weighted grey incidence degree to analyse theadaptability of Xinjiekou rail transit hub station, and gives out the adaptability evaluationprocess and conclusions of hub facilities, and adopts the method of SP (Stated Preference) toconfirm the rationality and feasibility of the evaluation system and evaluation methods.
