Cities have received more and more population, and the scope of urban construction has been expanding with the rapid growth of urbanization in China. As a result, the "spread out" development of some cities has resulted in traffic congestion, environmental pollution caused by the sudden increase in the number of private cars, and the deterioration of the living environment in central urban areas caused by the excessive population density. As the scale of built-up areas of some megalopolis breaks through the requirements of the general regulations, and the growth of urban space is constantly pushing towards the ecological red line and other reasons. The development of cities cannot be unlimited expansion. With the steady rise of urbanization, economic development has entered the "new normal",and the development of urban space has shifted from incremental development to inventory planning.Extensive expansion is no longer accepted, and the rational and intensive renewal of urban interior space is the development direction of each major city.Urban renewal has become the direction and goal of more and more urban development plans in China. From the perspective of inventory planning, this paper explores the impact of rail transit construction on urban renewal.Taking Harbin metro line 1 as an example,it summarizes the urban renewal changes of rail transit station area under the background of inventory planning through investigation and puts forward optimization strategies for future urban renewal and development.Firstly, the research scope around Harbin metro line 1 will be defined.Taking the site as the center of the circle and 500 meters as the radius, the research scope of the impact of urban renewal will be defined based on the consideration of road, land integrity and urban design.Based on the land functions around the site, the site is divided into residential site dominated by residential land, central site dominated by commercial land, special site dominated by public service facilities, green space and square, and traffic site dominated by traffic hub land.Classification is carried out from the perspective of "classification + population".This paper will classify the current situation and change of residential land demolition and construction, expansion and supplement of commercial land, land for public facilities, land for green space and square, and land for transportation hub facilities. This paper will summarize the changes of urban renewal in the station area since the beginning of rail transit construction. In general, from the perspective of the overall impact of rail transit on urban renewal, the status quo and renewal changes are explained in terms of spatial form remodeling, optimization of land use functions, and ecological environment changes. Then, after understanding the existing problems in the current situation and theurban renewal in recent years, this paper will again start from the perspective of "classification + overall" and correspond the problems and solutions one by one.In the classification, urban renewal and optimization strategies are proposed for the research scope, including the renewal and transformation of old communities, the upgrading and transformation of commercial space, the improvement of the service quantity of land used for public facilities, green space and squares, and the development and upgrading of horizontal facilities and transportation hub space,as well as the refinement and updating of specific implementation means. At the overall level, the paper will put forward views on the optimization of space structure and the improvement of land value within the research scope of rail transit. Finally, the paper will summarize the impact of urban renewal of rail transit and provide references for the urban renewal of rail transit in different cities.
