Because of the long period and high cost of the product development more and more people are convinced of the importance of the improving and administration of CEPDP(Concurrent Engineering Product Development Process). Therefore, it is significant to administrate product development process and improve the capability which enterprises can rapidly respond to the market in order to improve the competition of the enterprise. Based on the detail analysis of the current state and the development trends of CEPDP, the paper discusses a product development process management pattern and system which is reconfigurable and dynamically adaptable in order to support the Concurrent Engineering. Main contents of the paper include:(1)  The paper investigates an implementation model of CEPDP referring to the conception of Product Development Process Engineering and BPR and analyzes its implementation characteristics and contents in details. An integrated multi-views model of CEPDP is established based on the research of the methods and requests of process modeling. The method of retrieving information from the model is presented as well.(2) A management CEPDP framework with WfMS as its kernel was established by the support of PDM platform. The paper formally defined a general layered model of project management and introduced its management mechanism. An operational two-layer model was given according to the engineering practice.(3)  The paper introduces an analysis and design method of product development process management system based on UML, and studies the system design process based on Design-Pattern in addition.(4) In order to deal  with different abnormities, a layered-solution in product development WfMS is presented. Based on the solution, the paper establishes a flexible workflow  model-ASD and  discusses its dynamic implementation mechanism and algorithm.(5) The paper puts forward the concept of the reuse of product development process and discusses in details the significance, contents, approaches, principles and layered model of process reuse. A process reuse pattern based on Extended-WfMS is presented as well. The paper discusses the product development WfMS based on DSM. A DSM View is designed to overcome the deficiencies of the Flow View and Gante View.(6) The paper discusses the simulation of product development workflow model and its steps, and introduces the framework and operation mechanism of product development workflow simulation system. Based on the research, the paper gives the analysis method of activities relationship and performance of the ASD which has uncertain specialty.
