Research On The Artistic Issues Of Chinese Modern Architecture

This thesis makes a research on the Artistic Issues of the Chinese modern architecture in the frame of modern art,trying to draw some new conclusions, find out some new laws and correct some false concepts. Based on these,the author wants to set up a foundation for the continuous works on this great topic.For all these purposes,firstly,the author analyses and revalues the essence,the characters,the modes of innovations and the main phenomenon of western modern art and modern architecture,and regards their essential spirit of creation as the chief standard of progressing. Secondly,the author analyses and revalues the whole history and the artistic trends of the Chinese modern architecture. Base on these,the "special characters" of the Chinese modern architecture are dug out,such as changing classical factors into modern ones,expressing emotion in Chinese styles,and the embodying of the "main tune" and vernaculars. The hidden troubles in the Chinese modern architecture are exposed,such as the passive effects of the idea of "combining the Chinese factors with western ones",the limitations in the rules that control the process of a work-piece's "birth",the inequality on the artistic status among the varies types of buildings. The history of the Chinese modern architecture during 1949-1970s is also researched. In those 30 years,the modern art was in "vacuum" in China,meanwhile the modern architecture was able to exist,and even made some progresses. The author presents some reasons to explain this phenomenon. Based on the study of the "Experiment architecture" as a hotspot topic,the author declares that the Experiment architecture is but avant-garde,and digs out its' positive and passive factors. Comparing the Experiment architecture with the old generation architects' architectural experiments,the author points out the true values of the concept of experiment.Finally,based on all the conclusions drawn from the researches in this thesis,the author intends to draw an outline of the Chinese modern architecture's progress in the coming years.
