According to the characteristics and developing tendency of the compaction equipment, and probing into the new compaction theory and technology, the thesis studies the compaction mechanism of Impact-Like vibratory roller designed by ourselves on the theory and experiment. It puts forward the method of vibratory and impacting compaction in order to solve the compaction problem of soil in depth and clay and to improve the study level of equipment in road building.Based on the theory of vibratory and impacting compaction, the research of small vibratory roller and the double frequency roller in the past, the thesis combines vibratory compaction with impacting compaction and puts forward Impact-Like vibratory compaction theory which is a new idea.Through the experiments in different conditions using Impact-Like vibratory roller, the thesis analyzes soil compaction effect in different frequency, amplitude and work speed. It makes the range of roller parameters and validates that the roller with special design not only makes the more influential depth and higher compaction degree, but also assures the smoothness and well-distributed of road.According to the soil characteristics and compaction mechanism, the thesis analyzes the compaction theory affected by Impact-Like vibration and records the inner soil stress resulted by impaction and vibration. It gets the distributing and changing law of the soil stress by the closed data and opens out the dynamic characteristics in the compaction process.Combining the mechanic engineering with soil mechanics, the thesis studies the dynamic characteristics of interaction between the compaction equipment and soil. It sets up dynamic model for the system. The research work improves the compaction technology and makes a foundation for the application of Impact-Like vibratory roller. The thesis discusses the relation between compaction degree and the compaction parameters based on the experimental results and theory analysis. It sets up the relation among every parameters and reasonable matching. Examples validated shows that the model has the reference value in engineering practice. The study on the compaction theory and method in this thesis provides thereasonable scheme for solving the compaction problem of soil in depth and clay.
