Currently, a few kinds of computing models such as monolithic computing, distributed computing, parallel computing and computing cooperated with distributed computing are used in scientific computing. However, monolithic computing was adopted in most of scientific computing for geophysical exploration explaining, for example, intepreted software of 2 dimension's or 3 dimension's EFFEM (Electromagnetic Field Finite Element Method). On account of monolithic computing of these software with a mass of data to spend a lot of time, it is required for these application that HPC (High Performance Computing) system is adopted sometimes. DPC (Distributed parallel computing), a studied highlight, implements HPC via cooperation of otiose CPU based on Local Area Network (LAN). Therefore, scientific computing problems such as computing for a long time, visualized hard data etc will be solved as long as having studied DPC of EFFEM explaining based on economic and feasible LAN. The production will be of great worth in geophysical application area and impel forward development for computing technique in electromagnetic field exploration explaining area. The main contributions of this dissertation are as follows:1) The idea of constructing of DPC platform based on LAN has been proposed for solving the problem of scientific computing of geophysical exploration explaining. It has combined data processing of geophysical exploration with computer technique and LAN technique. The means of geophysical exploration explaining have been developed and progressed.2) The mathematical model of magnetotelluric exploration explaining has been given in detail. Its formulas have been deducted partially. The computing model of FEM (Finite Element Method) based on the mathematical model of magnetotelluric exploration explaining has been fully given. The Greenfield algorithm has been renewedly designed .It is a fast algorithm for solving linear algebra equation group of coefficient matrix for nubby tri-diagonal symmetrical matrix.3) The parallel computing programming of object-oriented (OO) based on Win32...
