Study On System Dynamics Models Of Port And City Interaction

From the aspect of system theory, this dissertation makes a synthetic application of port and navigation engineering , system engineering, management science and engineering as well as information science and study the unisonous development trends between the port and the city. This dissertation tried to propose a scientific project to coordinate port construction with city economy development in the next 15 years. At last, this dissertation gave a demonstration of Nanjing city and port development.Firstly, this dissertation proposed the notion of the Port-City System with five subsystems and depicted its character, essentials, structures, functions as well as its exterior environments. Moreover, this dissertation established a dynamic equilibrium analysis of the Port-City SystemSecondly, based on the I.Pregogine's dissipative structural theory, this dissertation discussed the evolvement mechanism of the Port-City System and furthermore investigated its evolvement drive through the aspects of management innovation, technical advancement and hinterland industrial structure optimization. It also analyzed the entropy flow of Port-City System through entropy function and elicited the judgment evidence of Port-City System dissipative structural stability.Thirdly, this dissertation detailed the main structure and five subsystems of the Port-City System, including the port subsystem, the city social subsystem, the city economical subsystem, the general transportation subsystem, the resource subsystem as well as their system dynamics model separately. This dissertation makes a study on two subsystems of the port subsystem and the city economical subsystem mainly.Fourthly, the notion of port and city economy coordination degree was put forward for the first time. This dissertation analyzed the evaluation index of harmonious development between urban and ports and it also provided evaluation model for the system coordination degree by comparing several existing evaluation tools.
