Virtual reality, which emerged in 1960s, once became a cause for concern in technique field, industry field and by customers in all countries, and then has come to pervade every aspect of our lives rapidly. In recent years, along with the gradual intensive study of virtual reality theory and technique, the application of virtual reality system also develops gradually, so the problems relating to how to make use of virtual reality technique to carry out a product design effectively as well as how to design a virtual reality system scientifically should become the focus research topics.In fact, the course claimed for design theory and design technical lasted for a long time, and the ultimate target is to realize product design automation according to the behavior of design thinking, which could support the whole process of design, free designer from tedious manual design indeed, improve efficiency and quality of design, thus enhance the competitiveness of products in the market. Numerous domestic and overseas scholars have obtained some encouraging achievements in design automation field, however existing mature CAD systems still have not overcome the difficulties thoroughly, involved requirements-analysis, conceptual design, function-form mapping etc., which perplex the academic circles over a long period of time; and sill lack consideration of problems such as Top-down design manner which matches designer's normal design thinking and concurrent design etc.; as a result cause supporting ability for the aspects as human machine corporation, creative design etc. still limited. As an effective design method, virtual design enriches design behavior manner, provides entirely new design expression form and design evaluation theory, permits designer to get concrete impression and feeling about the product before design completes, these can all contribute to fill up the deficiencies of existing CAD systems. But generally speaking, virtual design lack consideration about the problems, that is the whole process of design, especially the earlier stage of design process, possible existing virtual-actual associated function in mechatronics system to design, and function of human in mechatronics system to design etc., the experience of product design or usage is mostly subjective and perceptual. Considering numerous advanced design philosophy and method, and combined profound comprehension about traditional design process, according to the earlier research result: Decomposition and Reconstitution Principle and Concept Product Growth Design Process Model, in the sight of the virtual-actual integration, this paper puts forward the Virtual-Actual Integrated Concept Creative Design Theory towards mechatronics system design automation, on this foundation, aims at the characteristics of computer describing and solving a problem, sets up the mechatronics system virtual-actual integrated concept creative design platform, based on this platform, carries out the virtual-actual associated systems design verification, involved cotton packing machine, NC turning center, automobile driving system and laparoscopic procedure training system. Among them, the cotton packing machine and NC turning center virtual systems have already acquired application and extension by Jinan Xingke economic and trade limited company towards national occupation technique training, the laparoscopic procedure training system has already acquired national patent and started clinical application.Virtual-Actual Integrated Concept Creative Design Theory inherits and innovates upon virtual design theory. Compared with virtual design, virtual-actual integrated idea answers three questions from the philosophic attitude, involved the virtual-actual integrated thought, the human-machine cooperation design or application system, and the virtual-actual integrated function of design or application system. Therefore, the product design theory can be generalized to three aspects, that is virtual-actual integrated design process, virtual-actual integrated product information and virtual-actual integrated system realization.In the research of virtual-actual integrated design process model: First, puts forward the standpoint that through the substance, energy and information integrated design-information-flow to analyze the virtual-actual integrated design process, that is, integrates the information description of substance, energy together with information itself in cognitive domain into design information in design domain and makes it flowing in the product design process orderly. Accordingly combines the following problems an organic whole involved cognition and design (practice) in the whole process of product design, human-machine cooperative decision-making and design evolution, so the meanings of "virtual" of the virtual-actual integrated idea can be more concretely. Then takes one of the stage of design process, requirements-analysis, as the main research subject, carries out the research of virtual-actual integrated requirements-analysis from three aspects, that is requirements acquisition, requirements comprehension, negotiation and evaluation, requirements management: (1) Defines the mechatronics system requirements-analysis model and feeling-thought model, moreover from the virtual-actual associated meaning between them defines the mechatronics system virtual-actual integrated requirements-analysis model as the start and basis of mechatronics system virtual-actual integrated requirements-analysis, that is, satisfies the requirements-analysis pattern between feeling-thought model and mechatronics system requirements-analysis model, constructs virtual-actual integrated structural information, expresses system requirements with virtual-actual integrated behavior. (2) Puts forward the requirements-chain concept, analyzes the constitution of requirements-chain corresponding a complete industry chain in detail, then takes four kinds of users in requirements-chain as three kinds of requirements-source and viewpoint, presents the BNF definition of user-requirements, involved user characteristic, requirements-source characteristic and user-requirements information model, among them, the user-requirements information model uses visual sense, aural sense, haptic sense and body action as the public template of user requirements definition, which has the expression ability for the virtual-actual behavior of mechatronics system, and makes requirements acquisition driving by user has a good elicitation and radiation. (3) Puts forward a series of quality verification items which can be used to verify user-requirements by designer, and associating with the four elements design-requirements topology definition, that is human-element, machine-element, object-element and environment-element, forms its BNF definition and mapping rules; Uses the improved AHP method to carry on a quantity analysis about the design-requirements which includes requirements importance sorting, reasonable scope delimitation, benefit and risk evaluation etc.; Based on Decomposition and Reconstitution Principle defines solving rules about design-requirements evolution process, involved design-requirements Decomposition and Reconstitution, indirect recursion, requirements changing.In the research of virtual-actual integrated product information model: First, defines the virtual-actual integrated function-form design model of mechatronics system consistent with the mechatronics system requirements-analysis model, concretely analyzed the expression form of substance, energy and information of concept product in design space, presents the general entropy measurement form of design information involved design scheme, structure and parameter etc. Then establishes the expression form of function-form design information based on functional surface which has wide reconstitution space and owns geometry, function twin attribute, so that it can not only describe product function but also transfer structure information, thus design concept can be converted into design structure, design parameter quickly, it can solve the intractable function-form design of design automation radically; Furthermore, expands the subsidiary function information of the function-surface further in order to include electricity information, thus fulfils the current of design that achieves product function through electricity, enhances the ability of supporting mechatronics conceptual design; Establishes the product information model which applies to structure creation based on Functional Surface Decomposition and Reconstitution Principle, enhances the innovation and synthesis ability of product design. Finally, through the appearance between mechanics and electronics involved reference in cognition rules, pertinence in design process and coherence in function information expression, puts forward the generalized mechatronics design idea, analyzes the likeness between machine and electricity in principle and function aspect completely, presents the initial testify about the coherence form of the mechatronics dynamics equation, on the one hand it makes function-form mapping abundant, reasoning of design flexible, and is helpful for producing more design schemes of mechatronics system, on the other hand, it can sets up uniform physics simulation model for the comparability design scheme; classify the system, module, part three levels design knowledge system of mechatronics system in detail, the reasoning based on the case of mechatronics system design knowledge system can help to reduce the difficulty of reconstitution in the later stage of design process; From the viewpoint of large system involved human, machine, environment, establishes the knowledge expression of design mode function element which applies to conceptual creative design, involved the generalized executing mechanism subsystem, sensing and measuring subsystem, information processing and control subsystem. Among them, summarizes four sorts of generalized executing mechanism subsystem, three kinds of sensing and measuring subsystem, the mechatronics system design from the viewpoint of large system involved human, machine embodies the virtual-actual integrated design idea sufficiently, the virtual-actual integrated expression manner could support the mechatronics system design with virtual-actual integrated behavioroIn the research of virtual-actual integrated system model: In the research of virtual-actual integrated system model this paper emphasizes particularly on, sets up the mechatronics system virtual-actual integrated concept creative design platform based on Virtual-Actual Integrated Concept Creative Design Theory, achieves the supporting for the virtual-actual associated function of mechatronics system.Analyzes the mechatronics system, involved human-element, machine-element, object-element and environment-element, the design representation of the virtual-actual associated function, it exists in between human-element and machine-element, among machine-element, object-element and environment-element, presents the design criterions of virtual function for a virtual-actual associated mechatronics system; For the virtual-actual function between human-element and machine-element, puts forward the reasonable basis of function allotment between human and machine, unify human function into mechatronics system to be designed for consideration; summarizes the design element in the virtual-actual integrated human-machine interface design process, defines the basic step of human-machine interface flexible design. According to the rules above, draws up the evaluation elements set for design scheme of virtual-actual associated functions, uses the 2-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to make a quantification evaluation of design scheme.Sets up the mechatronics system virtual-actual integrated creative design platform which supports the realization of a virtual-actual associated mechatronics system, among the platform, the platform makes up of DARFAD design environment and Web design environment. DARFAD design environment based on interface method is applied to modeling a complicated mechatronics system, involved PCB design based on Pro/Engineer ECAD, sets up nine sorts of customization electronic component library, in order to solve the data exchange between MCAD and ECAD; Behavior and performance simulation based on Matlab/Simulink, try to use VRML interface to carry out the simulation of dynamic speciality of virtual system; Web design environment is web embed configurationable mechatronics system virtual platform based on VRML and Java.
