With the technique development of MEA and AEA, the low-voltage direct current, CSCF and VSCF power systems can not satisfy the general request of airplane any longer in the important characteristics, such as reliability, fault tolerance, environment adaptability and high capability, high power density. But judging from the reliability, maintainability and electrical capability, the 270V high voltage direct current electrical source will serve as the power system of the new generation airplane. Switched reluctance motor(SRM) is simplicity, low cost, high fault tolerance and high power density and high speed capability, and it can realize dual function of both starter and generator easily. With all the features, switched reluctance starter/generator system will play an important part in the 270V aeronautic high voltage direct current starter/generator system.This dissertation is devoted to study on aeronautic high voltage direct current switched reluctance starter/generator system. On the basis of understand and research of the former production, it mainly discusses the work principles and control schemes of switched reluctance starter/generator system. In order to improve the starting characteristics, it proposes the application of the torque-angle trait to increase the minimum starting torque and sums up the strongpoint and shortcoming of this system lastly.Based on the motor flux linkage versus current and rotor position, the nonlinear simulation model of SRG is established by MATLAB/SIMULINK. It also analyses the steady performance, dynamic performance and motor malfunctions by simulation in this nonlinear model and experiments.On the basis of CAD simulating software, this thesis gives the electromagnetic design of 70kW aeronautic high voltage direct current switched reluctance starter/generator motor, and also simulates on the capability and control parameter. It manufactures the digital controller and power inverter of switched reluctance starter/generator system, the results of experiment verified that the design of digital controller and power inverter are feasible.For the 12/8 structure, double channel SRG working under single channel mode, this paper proposes that the phase inductance of single channel can be increased by changing the windings connection. By this way, the SRG can supply ideal output power when working under the single channel mode. This dissertation also makes researches on the effects of the windings connection on the magnetic radical force and vibration of SRM.This dissertation also analyses the flux density of the different parts of the stator and the rotor. On the basis of this, the iron loss is calculated of SRM. The effects of flux density and iron loss are analyzed by changing windings connection.During the course of studying switched reluctance starter/generator system, In order to validate theory of switched reluctance starter/generator system by experiments, more than three little power switched reluctance motor is designed and a lot of experiments are completed.
