Study Of Sports Architecture In Multivariate Perspective

Sports buildings design is a distinctly specialized research, and it is related to several subjects which are differently approached in given periods, therefore it has different tendencies. After continuous accumulation and optimization, the concepts of sports buildings creation have been fairly abundant and embody multivariate feature.From the perspective of both theoretical analysis and practical observation, the thesis has carried on the research to sports buildings systematically and clarified a series of basic concepts of its relative fields. The establishment of analysis and estimate system provides theoretical foundations for architects and the public to rationally think of sports buildings.The thesis consists of eight sections.Foreword section summarizes the purpose, value and background of this thesis; puts forward the questions and states related documents, study method as well as thesis structure arrangement etc.The second chapter briefly reviews the developmental course of sports buildings in western and Chinese history. Then explains the emergency, evolution and reason of sports buildings from the angle of different time, area and social background, strives to construct the basic frame of sports buildings historical research.Based on the elemental system of urban design, the third chapter analyzes the mutual relation and effect between sports buildings and urban development, city-image molding, urban space and urban landscape.The fourth chapter expounds the actual situation of sports buildings technology and points out that contemporary idea of sports buildings should possesses epochal, dual and appropriate character. The synthetic technology concept should have developmental, sustainable and humanistic idea, and rationally treat the positive and negative effect of technology.The fifth chapter analyzes the typological tendencies of contemporary sports buildings' forms, including the types putting particular emphasis on structural conception, material application, ecological idea and regional culture.From the angle of sports economy, the sixth chapter points out that sports buildings are not only specialized sporting places, but also the commercial facilities. The design mainly reflects on multivariate contents, utilization after the events, temporary facilities and the participation of operators.Through the research of analysis and estimate system, the seventh chapter establishes the target, principal part, basis and constitution of the system, points out that sports buildings design is an explorative process of the value orientation, analysis and operating technology.The conclusion section summarizes the whole thesis and stresses the contribution and value to sports buildings design and analysis, and then points out some potential limitations, finally puts forward the questions which need discussed in the future as well as some suggestions to the next research.
