The dissertation has given a lot of extensive investigation and concise analysis on school buildings in Taiwan and made the conclusion regarding the development of the campus movement. It has also explained the recent influences and background of the educational reform in Taiwan. Furthermore, the author displayed many brilliant examples ,plus his own point of view, bringing up the new trends in school buildings in Taiwan. The spirit of the dissertation was based upon certain aspects as follows: 1.Reviewing the middle & primary schools in Taiwan with contemporary architecture. 2.Theories on the influential trends of the contemporary architecture. 3.Explaining the background of the middle & primary schools educational reforms. 4.Demonstrating the ideas of campus design in the new age. 5.Challenging studies on campus buildings of the middle & primary schools in the future.In mentioning the challenges about the educational reform and the design and practice of the school buildings in new age, the dissertation presented some contributions as follows:1.Explaining the essentials of educational background to the unifing country, and promoting the foundation of educational architecture to the two sides of Taiwan Strait2.To provide the thought of humanity to whatever the plans of educational environment are related, and achieve the harmony of the society.This dissertation is highlighting many cases which are the most representitive of contemporary schools, interpreted by author's understanding, and aims to achieve its purpose which is also deliver and share the delight of this knowledge.
