In the 21st century, with the development of knowledge and science technology, we have marched in the information age, crossing the industry age. Therefore, developing high-tech industry becomes key to international co-operation and competition. The universities, a research community having the latest technology and human resources, are the main motives for national hi-tech industry. How to make the universities adaptable to its obligation of changing knowledge into productivity, how to broadcast the innovation of the university to the whole society, and how to make the knowledge the national fortune are the focused issues.The development of hi-tech will definitely lead to the combination of technology parks and universities. In the 1950s, the first technology park, founded by Stanford, has played a key role in the national economy for its practice of knowledge and technology. Many scholars have done great researches in administration, sociology and other fields. Based on these, we could found Technology Park with the technology resources, science and human resources advantages of universities. It is easily seen that only by this, can our national competitiveness be raised.After analysis of many world-famous technology parks and survey on China's technology parks situation, the thesis writer hold that the following are the main problems of China's technology parks' construction. 1. The author states the present situation and features of China's university science & technology parks, based on practical research of the theory and development of university science & technology parks. It proposes an appropriate planning and design mode for university science & technology parks in terms of site selections function composition, space construction and other aspects.The innovation of the thesis lies in the following ways: First, the thesis, Science Park as its study project, discusses the interactive relationship among the social, natural and architectural environment of Science Park from city planning and architecture angles. Meanwhile, the research achievements in sociology and administration are also taken into account. It gives a reasonable recognition of the function and status of Science Park. Second, the thesis makes a thorough survey of the present situation of China's science parks, and proposals of parks' developing planning. Third, the thesis explores the adaptable design mode, summarizes the planning features, and proposes the planning trend of science parks.
