The combat efficiency of equipments depends on combat unit maintenance support capability of equipments. Modern war has more and more demands on the maintenance support of equipments. In order to quantitatively analyze whether a combat unit holds the support capacity, several operational readiness and mission success models are constructed with consider of the combat unit's repair capacity. By the means of evaluating operational readiness and mission success, we can find the weakness of weapon systems in the aspect of maintenance support, and optimize the given maintenance support schedules to satisfy the needs of the future military struggle. For these reasons, this thesis studies the modeling and analysis of maintenance support for combat units. The main contents of this thesis are outlined as follows:(1) The study on combat unit's maintenance system and their evaluation parametersThe support objects , maintenance support systems and their support policies are introduced , then the equipments'missions are analyzed, and also the evaluation parameters are discussed, especially the parameters of operational readiness and mission success.(2) Comat unit operational readiness models with the support of single echelon maintenance systemComat unit operational readiness models are constructed based on Multi Dimensional Markov Process with different maintenance condition and priority policy, the models solution methods are studied as well. Then an optimization model for mission oriented caniblization problem is given. To solve this model, a two stage genetic method is proposed and a case study is give to show the methed effect.(3) Comat unit operational readiness models with the support of multi-echelon maintenance system.On the base of maintenance process analysis, a two level maintenance system model is built using closed BCMP queueing network, and its solving method is give based on marginal distribution method is given as well.Then a Comat unit operational readiness model is given for complex weapon system.(4) Comat unit mission success models with consider of maintenance support capacity On the base of mission time analysis , an evaluation model for mission success with constraint of the number of spare parts and the interval time between two missions.Then a combat unit mission and repair programming model is proposed with consider of maintenance resource and time constraint.also this model is solved using a heuristic method.Finally, some reserch remarks are concluded and the future work in this field is prospected in the end of this thesis.
