An Ecological Study On Characteristic Agriculture In Southeast Of Fujian Province--A Case Study Of Zhangzhou City

Characteristic agriculture, with target on the utilization of the local superior resources, is a sort of agricultural product system. The research about the ecology of Characteristic agriculture aims at giving prominence to the local superior resources and realizes its place optimization and rational use beyond destroying the environment. The means about that characteristic is based on the sustainable development of the local agricultural environment, otherwise it can not keep such peculiarity. This paper divided into four parts and composed of nine sections, detailedly researches the theoretic conceive and regional advantage of the Characteristic agriculture in the local sample zone and its existent ecological problems respectively. Then the author puts forward some ecological stratagem about the Characteristic agriculture development, according to the actually agricultural development status in the sample zone and experimental result, in order to provide use for reference on the regional Characteristic agriculture development. In the first part of exordium, the conception of the Characteristic agriculture has been defined, and with comparison between the Characteristic agriculture and routine agriculture, sustainable agriculture and eco-agriculture, the significance about the Characteristic agriculture development, its exploitation principle and realized conditions have been described in detail also. Because the ecological theory applied into the Characteristic agriculture lies on the agricultural product feature, the ecological problems such as sort of natural resources and the environmental deterioration should be settled by the ecological ways. So in the second chapter, the ecological application in the Characteristic agriculture and current progress about the Characteristic agriculture ecology have been discussed. The Characteristic agriculture has been taken as a main developmental mode in more regions and some useful methods and modes about the regional resources optimization utilization. Referring to the former scholar抯 achievement, this chapter mainly explains the background conditions of the Characteristic agriculture development in the southeast of Fujian province and its ecological analysis on the content, method and procedure. The main work in the second part just analyzes the regional agricultural superiority in the sample zone, Zhangzhou City, Fujian province. The key problem on the regional Characteristic agriculture development is focused on the identification of the resources, product and agri- industry superiority and therefore how to build up such advantage. So in the third chapter, the resou.ces advantages of the Characteristic agriculture development have been concluded below: (1) favorable geographical position and advantageous neighbor relations with Taiwan; (2) various land adaptability; (3) higher climatic product potential; (4) abundant water resources. Certainly there are also exist restrictive elements something like the short of water resources per person and the disequilibrium of the natural resources spatio-temporal distributing and the fundamental purpose of the Characteristic agriculture development is emphasized on to be seasoned with the utilization of the superior resources.
