Dahlia(Dahlia pinnate.Cav)due to rich colors,beautiful pattern,long flowering period attracted citizens,has formed a rich variation in a long cultivation,new varieties emerge in an endless stream.The collection and protection of germplasm resources are the important basis for the development of new varieties.Material was collected in"China Chrysanthemum Germplasm Conservation Center" Nanjing Agricultural University.The variability of the main quantitative traits of dahlia was analyzed by investigation,according to the quantitative distribution of quantitative traits of dahlia,and selected six quantitative traits example varieties used in the DUS Test Guideline of dahlia.To facilitate the collection,classification and evaluation of dahlia germplasm resources,to provide the reference forimprovementof other traits.In this paper,136 resources of dahlia were computedand a total of 11 quantitative characters were investigated.Quantitative characters include plant heigh,leaf length,leaf width and so on.The results showed that the variation of quantitative traits was significant in the range of 31.71%?62.17%.The coefficient of variation is the largest number of tubular flowers,leaf length is the smallest.The K-S test showed that only two traits did not accord with the normal distribution.The other nine traits were in normal distribution,and the probability distribution was carried out.Proposed grading criteria for quantitative traits.The results of the study were the evaluation criteria for the classification and identification,the evaluation of traits of dahlia varieties,By analyzing the test data of total of 11 quantitative charactersof 136 dahlia varieties,the box plot analysis of each variety of each trait of consistency and stability.According to the variation of the character,the symmetry of the measured value and the abnormal value,selected the example varieties of different expression states of inflorescence diameter,plant height,leaf length and leaf width of dahlia.Study the qualitative characteristic of dahlia germplasms,136 portions of dahlia germplasms were taken as the research materials and 18 qualitative characters were selected for diversity analysis.Probability distribution analysis to qualitative characters,and diversity analysis was conducted with Simpson'sindex and Shannon-Wiener index being the evaluation indicators.The result showed quantitative characters of predominant type of ray floret,growth habit and ray floret twisting andother parts were relatively sTablewith higher consistency.Simpson's index and Shannon-Wiener index of color of ray floret,shape of tip on ray floretand most of the other quantitativecharacterswere relatively high.In conclusion,all of those indicatethe phenotypic characters of dahlia germplasms were with noTablevariation and rich diversity.
