In order to explore the immunologic and molecular mechanism of disease resistance difference between Chinese indigenous and exotic pigs, immune indexes, including serum levels of IgG, IL-12, IFN-γ, neutriphil function, and total white blood cell count, were compared between zhongXu black pig and Large White pigs. The DDRT-PCR technique was used to analysis the difference of gene expression of blood and spleen in different pig breeds. The methods of bioinformation were adopted to extend the sequences of diffenertial expression fragments. The main results were indicated as following.1. Total white cell count, as well as neutriphil function, levels of IL-12 and IFN-γin culture supernatant of peripheral balood mononuclear cell.were similar between the pig breeds. While the serum levels of IgG, IL-12 and IFN-γdiffered significantly, with ZhongXu black pigs having higher levels.2. The 180-days-aged weight of ZhongXu black pig was significantly lower than that of Large White pig There were no difference between two breeds in birth weight, weaning weight and others.3. Serum levels of IgG were negative correlated with the serum and supernatant levels of IL-12 and IFN-γ(r=-0.305,-0.267,-0.242). There were positive correlationship between neutriphil function and serum levels of IL-12 and IFN-γ, so as serum levels of IL-12 and IFN-γ.4. Serum levels of IgG was positive correlated with net-out-weight (r=0.251), negative with 180-days-weight(r=-0.157). Total white blood cell count was negative correlated with net-out-weight and 180-days-weight(r=-0.192,-0.333), however positive correlated with birth weight and weaning weight(r=0.291,0.263). Serum levels of IL-12 and IFN-γwere negative correlated with birth weight , net-out-weight and 180-days-weight.5. 56 differential expression fragments were isolated from blood of ZhongXu black pigs and Large White, and 17 were identified positive fragments by reverse Northerning blot hybridization. 5 were...
