On the basis of summarizing the research progress, problem and development on the evaluation of forestry land resources, a series of evaluation of forestry land resources in Fujian based on geographic information system (GIS) integrated with mathematic models, including the grid data calculation of major climatic and environmental factors, the evaluation of forestry land suitability, the evaluation and spatial variance of forestry productivity, the classification and landscape pattern spatial variance of forestry site type, the capacity assessment and value evaluation of forestry CO2 fixation and O2 release and the suitability and risk evaluation of land resources for growing major staple Eucalyptus species in Fujian, were conducted by the materials of provincial land resource surveying, mountain soil investigation, soil erosion surveying, meteorological observation, atmosphere environmental monitoring and digital elevation model in order to enrich and perfect the assessment contents, technology and methodology of regional forestry land resources, to understand the quantities, qualities, limitation and distribution of land resources suitable for forestry, the forest productivities of forestry land, the ecological environmental values of forest and their spatial variance, the types, quantities, characteristics, distribution and landscape pattern of forestry site and the quantities, qualities, distribution and risk of land resources suitable for staple Eucalyptus species growth in Fujian and to provide scientific basis for developing and using forestry land resources with local condition, enhancing the scientific management and utilization program of forestry land resources and promoting the ecological environmental improvement and forestry sustainable development in Fujian. The results showed as follows. The interrelation of quadratic tendency analysis curves among the water factors [annual average of rainfall (AAR), annual evaporative capacity (AEC ), aridity degree(AD), annual rainy days( ARD) and rainfall ratio during growth and winter season (RRGW) ], the heat factors [annual total solar radiation capacity (ATSRC), annual average of temperature (AT), ≥0℃ accumulated temperature (≥0℃AT), ≥10℃ accumulated temperature (≥10℃AT), annual frostless season (AFS), annual frost day (AFD) extreme low temperature (ELT) and average of extreme low temperature (AELT), the sunlight factors [annual sunshine percentage (ASP), annual sunshine hours (ASH) and sunshine hours during growth season (SHGS) ] and the longitude, latitude and altitude were the most closely and reached remarkable levels with multiple interrelated coefficients ranged from 0.674 to 0.861, 0.732 to 0.982 and 0.629 to 0.733, respectively. The difference examination between the data calculated by the models and those observed by station in twelve testing meteorological station by couple t test showed that the values of AAR, AEC, AD, ARD, RRGW,ATSRC, AT, ≥0℃AT, ≥10℃AT, AFS, AFD, ELT, AELT, ASP, ASH and SHGS in the testing meteorological station could be well calculated by GIS technology integrated with the models of quadratic tendency analysis combined with inverse distance weighted interpolation of the fourth, fourth, sixth, fourth, third, first, twelfth, second, first, third, first, fourth, third, second, first and first power, respectively, with unremarkable difference and the lowest t values, which indicated that aforementioned models and methodology could be used to well calculate grid data of water, heat and sunlight factors in Fujian. The grid data of atmospheric NOX, SO2, TSP, TM10 and annual average of precipitation pH (AAPP) in Fujian were calculated by the models of Thiessen polygon interpolation (TPI) and inverse distance weighted interpolation (IDWI), respectively. The difference examination between the data calculated by the models and those observed by monitoring station in ten testing station by couple t test showed that the values of atmospheric NOX, SO2, TSP, TM10 and precipitation pH in the testing station could be well calculated by TPI, IDWI of the first power, TPI, IDWI of the twelfth power and IDWI of the second power, respectively, with unremarkable difference and the lowest t values. The t values were only 0.079, 1.276, 0.512, 0.979 and 0.049, respectively. The results indicated that aforementioned models and methodology could be used to well calculate grid data of atmospheric NOX, SO2, TSP, TM10 and precipitation pH in Fujian.
