| Dazu Black Goat Populations(DBGP),distributing on Tieshan Town,Jijia Town,Gaosheng Town,Sanqu Town,longshi Town and Zhuxi Town of Dazu County in Chongqing City naturaly,had over 4000 goats,including about 2200 adult does,and over 40 adult billy goats which were served as breeder. Their average weight reached 24.29±4.56kg and 19.50±3.27kg for billy goats and does of six months,and reached 69.40±10.65kg和42.07±5.33kg for adult billy goats and adult does , respectively.The rate of slaughter and net meat was 43.45±2.34% and 31.95±2.52%,respectively. They were characterized by oestrus in full years and high fecundity with lambing percentage of 212% and 289% for primiparous and muliparous,respectively,3 litter two years and litter size from two to six.The Dazu Black Goat had the consistent bodily form and color,biggish build with pure blank fleece,comely head,beard and horn extending up and backwards like sword in billy goats and does,even and straight bridge of a nose,small and little-raising ears,a slight neck,drooping meat in most ones,a good-open rib,rhythm structure,even straight back and waist , burly hoofs , a short up-warped and triangle tail , a good-structural breast,thin and short borns,a rectangle body watching forward,backward,up. That was accord with the character of excellent meat goats. Their habitat was less disturbed for the reason of its poor traffic.In addition,aboriginal inhabitant had the habit of raising the billy goats and does severally.As a result,there was little genetic change occurred in DBGP. DBGP was an excellent goat population in Chongqing city,had a good developing future and potential value by local reconnaissance and review on the spot of the experts.Therefore,the genetic markers in correlation with high fecundity gene in DBGP had been studied by molecular markers.Furthernmore,the phylogenetic of DBGP with neighbor breeds was estimated in order to clarify their genetic relationships.
