Investigation And Control On The Major Epidemic Diseases Of Goat And Sheep Farms In Hebei

Sheep and goat raising of Hebei was investigated. Epidemiologic survey and control on Mycoplasmosis ovipneumonia, Coccidiosis, gastroenteric nematodiasis and cestodosis were studied. 1 The feeding of mutton sheep and goats in HebeiThe feeding of mutton sheep and goats in Hebei was surveyed. Since 1985, the mutton sheep and goat raising was kept on the tendency with steady increasing. According to current price, the value of output of sheep and goat raising was reached to 5932.56 million yuan in 2004 and was increased by 7.99% than 2003, 54.23% than 2000 and 81.17% than 1995. In 2004, there were 24.2562 millions of sheep and goats on hand and was increased by 7.67% than 2003, 16.05% than 2000, 125.74% than 1995 and 236.37% than 1990. In 2004, there were 23.8105 millions sheep and goats for sale in year-end and was increased by 6.92% than 2003, 27.44% than 2000 , 98.30% than 1995, 269.50 % than 1990 and 630.59% than 1985. In 2004, the output of mutton was 314.90 million kg and was increased by 7.58% than 2003, 28.06% than 2000, 87.78% than 1995,295.60% than 1990 and 746.51% than 1985. Since 1996, the intensive feeding of mutton sheep and goat husbandry was kept on the steady increasing. In 2002, there were 1832 villages of intensive feeding with 2.8379 million sheep and goats for sale. In 2004, there were 1581565 specialized households. Among the specialized households , there were 10348 households( feeding over 100 sheep and goats for sale every household ) with 2.77million sheep and goats for sale. There were 191 specialized countries with 1.501 million sheep and goats on hand and 1.503 millions for sale. In 2004, there were 37 industrial bases of sheep and goat and brought along 123 specialized towns, 1151 specialized villages and 52360 specialized households. The output value of industrial base of sheep and goat was 1326.61 million yuan. The profit was 215.903 million yuan and tax was 95.25 million yuan. In 2004, there were 96 breeding sheep and goat farms with 5300sheep and goats on hand (among which , threr were 30400 ewes). There were 20 breeding stations of buck with 1214 bucks, 101 collective breeding stations with 1175 bucks and 26513 individual breeding stations with 44453 bucks.
