Afforestation is a durative project in environment protecting prcess. The labor intensity is very hard by the traditional way of tree planting; while the work efficiency is low. And mechanized forestation is a trend. Some planting machines such as Medium Depth Planter destroy the aforestation area badly,during an aforestation process. At the present time,to solve these problems,the aforestation machines develop in two directions. One way,it is developing towards auto-controlled or intelligent machines to retrench manpower,abate the labor intensity and decrease the breakage probability of planting machines. On the other way,it is developing towards intermittent planter to reduce the extent of destroying the aforestation area.Combined these two ways,this paper applied the advanced ultrasonic testing technology to the planting process of an intermittent planter. Thereby it enhanced the intelligent and automatic level of aforestation machines. The main contents and conclusions drawn in the dissertation:1. For the first time, applied the advanced ultrasonic testing technology to the process of an intermittent planter choosing a planting point. By this technology,an intermittent planter can detect the stumbling blocks and evade them,so that to reduce the breakage probability of planting assembly.2. Confirmed the type of ultrasonic sensor according to current study based on analyzing of the theory,character and sound field of ultrasonic. Four familiar styles of ultrasonic sensor were chosen to make contrastive experiments,then the sensor with the best effect of detecting was chosen to apply to the research.3. Established a system of ultrasonic echo data collection with data collection card and LabView software. Took the stumbling blocks such as stone and wood which were familiar found in aforestation area as reflecting objects,and then collect the ultrasonic echo signal. Record the data in...
