Superovulation and estrus synchronization is the most important part of the livestockembryo transfer. Superovulation is the core of the technical aspects of embryo transfertechnology, and it is the most effective way to get a large number of embryos. Estrussynchronization is the key of the success of embryo transfer technology, also. Estrussynchronization technology allows for the reproductive organs of the recipient dams in thesame physiological state, to improve the physiological environment of normal embryonicdevelopment.Boer goats, Guanzhong dairy goats and Shaanbei white cashmere goats were studied inthis experiment. We used different drugs, different programs, different seasons and otherfactors to study their impact superovulation and/or estrus synchronization effect, combinedwith the actual production, we draw the following conclusions:1. Boer goats were used Ca-FSH, Ch-FSH and Ca-FSH+Ch-FSH for superovulation. The average recovery of embryos were11.17±8.18,15.57±6.45and10.92±7.43, and themean viable embryos were10.00±8.65,12.43±6.75and8.92±6.93, respectively. Theseresults indicated that the best superovulation response and the high embryo yields wereobtained by using the domestic gonadotrophins and optimal superovulatory protocols. Thissuggested that the effect of superovulation of Ch-FSH and Ca-FSH are the same. AndCh-FSH price is half of the Ca-FSH, so, Ch-FSH can replace the Ca-FSH to implement thesuperovulation.2. Superovulatory treatment was performed using Ca-FSH in Boer goats and Shaanbeiwhite cashmere goats. The average number of embryos recovered were11.17±8.18and9.43±7.16, and the average number of available embryos were10.00±8.65and8.57±6.24,respectively. As can be seen, the average recovered embryos and the average transferableembryos of the Boer goats are about1.3times Shaanbei white cashmere goats.3. Estrus synchronization treatments were performed using Ningbo PMSG or IsraelPMSG in Guanzhong dairy goats. The estrus synchronization rates were85.80%and82.35%(P>0.05), and the ovulation rates were64.66%and81.82%(P <0.05), respectively. This suggested that domestic PMSG and imported PMSG induced estrus synchronization rate arethe same, but the former is less effective induction of ovulation.4. Estrus synchronization treatments were performed using CIDR+PG or CIDR+FSH+PG in Shaanbei white cashmere goats. The estrus synchronization rates were91.18%and90.77%, and the ovulation rates were74.19%and79.66%, and the transplant rates were90.32%and86.44%, and the pregnancy rates were28.57%and31.37%, respectively. Thelatter in ovulation rate and pregnancy rate were higher than the former. That showed that theuse of FSH in estrus synchronization can improve the efficiency of post-embryo transfer.5. Estrus synchronization treatment was performed using CIDR+FSH+PG in autumn(November) or winter (December) in Shaanbei white cashmere goats. The estrussynchronization rates were90.77%and82.83%, and the ovulation rates were79.66%and85.96%, and the transplant rates were90.32%and86.44%, respectively. This indicated thatShaanbei white cashmere goat estrus synchronization can also get good results in winter.6. Estrus synchronization treatments were performed using homemade PRID orNZ-CIDR in recipients. The estrus synchronization rates were84.09%and86.87%. Thisindicated that the homemade PRID can also achieve the same effect of the import CIDR.7. Embryo transfer were take advantage of the the new recipients and repeat recipientswithin a short period of time (one month) to the recipients. The transplant rates were70.97%and59.32%. We found a short time re-use the same recipient for transplantation will causethe recipient uterine horn adhesion. To reduce the occurrence of such cases is preferable torepeat recipient pregnancy.
