Human arseniasis is still the problem which has been paying close attention to so far in the internal and external medical field. Traditionally, it was divided into acute and chronic arseniasis, which were decided mainly by exposing dose and time from exposure to attack. Acute arsenic poisoing was high exposing and quick attack; while chronic arsenics was low exposing and slow attack. Long-term effect of arsenic we put forward was not defined the same as chronic arseniasis, but meant the results having long-term effect after exposing arsenic (whether the effect of long time or short time after exposing arsenic). Acute and chronic arseniasis narrated above, whether with long exposure or short, was both bodily damaged and resulted in intoxication after arsenic load having received certain dose in body. The evaluation on arsenic?toxicity was usually seen from the angle of organs and systems , but not from long and short-term effect. This study is meant to evaluate the remaining long-term effect on parents, after stopping being exposed to high arsenic for more than 10 years, and the effect on their off-spring, apply gene chip to explore the relevant gene of arsenic, elaborate mechanism of arsenic effect on metabolism from gene aspect and inquire the prospect of gene prevention and treatment. Part One The Investigation of the Thrning of State of an illness after Ten Years of Interfering with Drinking-water in the crowd in Arseniasis Areas ne of Long-term Effect on Arsenic Objective: Residents drinking earth ?surface water in Kui Tun cultivated region in Xinliang had no reaction to arseniasis before 1960?s. From 1960?s, people in this areas began to dig a lot of wells. But because of lacking systemic water quality test, they had not found out high arsenic concentration in some deep-well water, which led to some arseniasis sufferers among residents after 1970 ?s, including 87 companies, threatening 50 thousand residents on the land of 1200 Km2 Since 1982, XinJiang Medical University (XinJiang Medical College) and Kui Tun Eoidemic Prevention State have taken comprehensive research, prevention and treatment on endemic arsenism from different aspects. The study indicated that high arsenic can encroach on all organs and systems in body at different levels, besides causing pathological change of skin . In other words, chronic arsenism was a general disease. But these studies have only evaluated the toxicity of arsenic and explored the poisoning mechanism, and little has been reported on the turning of state of an illness, especially the turning and remaining-effect after stopping exposure. Therefore, this study attempts to observe the remaining-effect of arseniasis from many indexes after 10-15 years of the sufferers?stopping absorbing high arsenic. Methods: Fang Jian Company in Regiment 123 and Company 8 in Regiment 128 were selected as area A (high arsenic and fluorinC area before the improvement of drinking-water), Company 2 and Company 12 in Regiment 123 as area B (high fluorine, area before the improvement of drinking-water, control area 1), Company ii and Company 12 in Regiment 125 as area C (normal control, control area 2). Residents between 20 and. 71 years old, who had lived in the three areas more than 5-10 years, were considered to be the surveyed object, among whom objects in A and B drank hig...
