The purpose on this study is to reveal the mechanism of protecting myocardial damage induced by stroke with acupuncture and to explore the physiopathologic mechanism of cerebral-cardial syndrome. The clinical research was carried out by using electrocardiography, high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC), radio inimunoassay (RIA) and biochemistry technique, while examining the changes of electrocardiogram (ECU), myocardial enzymogram and heart rate variability (HRV) of the stroke patients, and the contents of catecholamine (CA), endothelin (ET) and nitric oxide (NO) in the same patients?blood. The experiments were performed by applying HPLC, RIA, biochemistry and in situ hybridization histochemistry (ISHH) technique, when observing the morphologic changes of brain tissue and myocardium; the contents of CA, acetylcholine (ACh), ET and NO; the expression level of ETmRNA and nNOSmRNA in intracerebral hemorrhage region, myocardium and the special central cardiovascular regulating area梙ypothalamus ,brain stem and hippocampi of rats with experimental intracerebral hemorrhage. The interventing effects of acupuncture on them were studied and the curative effects with different acupuncture therapy methods compared. The main results of the study are as follows:1. These patients of stroke presented with ECU and myocardial enzymograni abnormalities; reducing HRV; raising the contents noradrenaline (NA), dopamine (DA), ET and NO in the patients?blood. Acupuncture could improve abnormal changes in ECG, myocardial enzymogram and HRV, strengthen vagal tension, reduce the contents of NA, DA, ET and NO in the patients?blood; regulate the neuroendocrine fluid balance and protect the myocardial injury in stroke. Compared with control group of acupuncture, the curative effect of the34j~ ~.experimental group of acupuncture is superior to that of control group.2.The myocardial injury in intracerebral hemorrhage rats could be seen with the help of both light and electron microscopy. This damage may be the pathologic base on which cardiac complicating disease occur in patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage. The acupuncture has the protective action on injury of myocardial morphology in the rats of experimental intracerebral hemorrhage.3.Acute intracerebral hemorrhage produced the dysfunction of autonomic nervous center, following sympathetic hyperfunction and hypovagotonia. The contents CA were increased and ACh decreased in intracerebral hemorrhage region, myocardiuni and the special central cardiovascular regulating area ?hypothalamus, brain stem and hippocampi of rats. Finally myocardial injury and central arrhythmia occured. Acupuncture can inhibit sympathetic nerve excitation and CA release, improve vagal tension and promote ACh production.4.The contents ET and NO increased in intracerebral hemorrhage region, myocardium, hypothalumus, brain stem and hippocampi of rats with experimental intracerebral hemorrhage, and large quickly expression of ETmRNA and nNOSmRNA above areas could be evoked because of the introcerebral hemorrhage . By improving the blood circulation of around intracerebral hemorrhage region, the acupuncture cut down the level of ET, NO above areas and block increasing gene expression of ET and nNOS.conculsions1.Acupuncture can improve the abnormal ECG, myocardial enzymogram, HRV, contents of CA, ET and NO; regulate the neuroendocrine fluid balance; and protect the myocardial injury induced in stroke.2.The acupuncture therapy has the protective action on injury of myocardial morphosis in the rats of experimental intracerebral hemorrhage.3.Acupuncture can decrease the contents of CA, ET and NO, increase the ACh production of the introcerbral hemorrhage reverse region, myocardiuin, the special central cardiovascular regulating area, and reverse over gene expression of4ET and nNOS above region. The acupuncture therapy have the protective effect on neuronal and myocardial injury i...
