Based on the summary of studies of endometriosis, this research summarized professor Ma Baozhang's clinical experience on curing endometriosis and made an experiment in animal, for researching mechanisms of endometriosis and YWN. This experiment created successfully EM model of rats. The level of tumor necrosis factor- a (TNF- a ) and interleukin-6, 8 (IL-6, IL-8) of serum VEGF and ICAM-1 protein expression of local tissue^ apoptosis of ectopic endometrium and apoptosis gene æ¡žcl-2 and Fas mRNA expression was investigated by RIA x ELISA ? immunohistochemistry> TUNEL> In situ hybridization light and electron microscope technique. Results: l.TNF-a ^ lL-6^ IL-8 was down-regulated in serum by YWN. 2. VEGF and ICAM-1 protein expression of endometriotic tissue was down-regulated by YWN. 3. apoptosis of ectopic endometrium was induced by YWN. 4. Fas mRNA was up-reguluted and Bcl-2 mRNA was down-regulated by YWN. Conclusion: 1. Supporting the role of cytokine as a mediator of EM. YWN has function which eliminate inflummatory medium and regulate immune function. 2.Cell adhesion is premise of planting ectopic endometrium, growing vessel is essential in EM. Adhesion > growing vessel -. planting and growth of ectopic endometrium was restrained by YWN. 3. Apoptosis and eliminating of ectopic endometrium was induced by YWN which affect expression of Bcl-2 and Fas mRNA. The article elaborates YWN' S mechanisms of immunoregulation and inducing apoptosis of ectopic endometrium at molecular and gene level. Deeply explains internal relations of immunity and EM. Provides substantial >. scientific theoretical and experimental foundation.
