Clinical Study And Experimental Research On The Therapeutics Effects Of ZuoGuiShuangJiang Decoction On Cases With Hypertension Disease Complicated From Type 2 Diabetes

Objective: To investigate the prevalence rate of Diabetic Hypertension (DH) in Zhuzhou area and research the DH's distributing characteristics of the Chinese. Medical syndrome types. To observe the clinical curative effect on DH by using Chinese Medical therapy of the method of intersupport between Yin and Yang, namely ZuoGuiShuangJiang (ZGSJ) decoction. To study the mechanism of ZGSJ decoction . To search a new way to make Chinese medical diagnosis based on syndromes and diseases.Methods: (1)1200 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) inpatients in our hospital from 1998 to 2003 were selected and analyzed .(2)60 cases of DH patients with both QiYinLiangXu and GanYangShangKang syndromes were divided into 2 groups, and were treated with ZuoGuiShuangJiang decoction or Captopril respectively for 4 weeks in addition to Diamcron as a basal treatment. Curative effect was observed. Moreover, fasting blood sugar(FBG), hematopiesis, glycohemoglobin (GHb) were measured and compared before and after treatment.(3)The injured vascular endothelial cells(ECV-304)model were established by the mixture liquid with glucose(Glu),insulin(Ins)and oxidized LDL(ox-LDL) . And then, we observed ECV-304's variation in morphology, endothelin-l(ET-l), nitrogen monoxide(NO) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-l)of EVC-304 were measured and compared.Result: The incidence of DH in Zhuzhou is 31.2%. The total effective rate of ZuoGuiShuangJiang decoction was 90% while Chinese medical syndromes improved rate 93.3%. ZGSJ decoction could obviously decrease the level of ET-1, 1CAM-1 and increase the level of NO.Conclusions: The incidence of DH in Zhuzhou area is the same as reported. QiYinLiangXu with GanYangShangKang syndromes is prevalent in DH. The method of intersupport between Yin and Yang is the effective therapy to it. As results showed, ZuoGuiShuangJiang decoction is an effective prescription for DH which can decrease the level of blood sugar cooperatively, it could protect the function of vascular endothelial cells.
