Methods: 175 patients from Ophthalmology and Endocrinology Department in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University with type 2 diabetes were classified into three groups : NDR group, NPDR group and PDR group according to FFA; ET、sVCAM-1 and VEGF was measured by E-LISA; The NO was measured by nitrate reductase method; their results were compared with those of 63 helthy subjects. Results:(1) The plasma ET levels tended to elevating with severity of DR, There were significant differences between diabetic subgroup and control group(P<0.05);(2) The plasma NO levels tended to elevating with severity of DR. There were no siginificant difference on the plasma NO levels between NDR group and NPDR group(P>0.05). But the NO levels of these groups were significantly different from control group and PDR groups(P<0.05);(3) The plasma sVCAM-1 levels was increasing with severity of DR, There were no siginificant difference on the plasma sVCAM-1 levels between NDR group and control group(P>0.05). But the sVCAM-1 levels of these groups were significantly different from NPDR group and PDR groups(P<0.05);(4) The plasma VEGF levels tended to elevating with severity of DR, There were significant differences between diabetic subgroup and control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The measurement of markers to vascular endothelial function is useful in evaluating the severity and progress in type 2 diabetic retinopathy. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Diabetic retinopathy, endothelin, nitric oxide, soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule 1, vessel endothelial gmwth factor | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
