1. Objective Sha Moga has the function of eliminating phlegm, calming down the asthma and expellingsuperficial pathogenic factors according to clinical investigation and discovery data. It has been usedfor the treatment of chronic bronchitis, the rheum and the rheumatoid arthritis. However, it has notbeen reported regarding to the effective chemical constituents yet. The chemical constituents wereseparated and identified systematically. The study and exploring on the active component and activefractions, and the setting up of the quality standard is necessary. It will supply the new medicineswhich have exact effects and extensive application foreground with scientific data. Artemisia halodendron is widely distributed in the Chinese deserts, which is usually used tobreak the wind and fixate the sand. Deeply research will lead to be planted extensively, as a result,it will be helpful for the improvement of the surrounding of desert districts and increase theeconomic value. So the research benefits both the nation and the people.2. Methods System chemistry separation was accomplished by using techniques such as supercritical-fluidextraction, column chromatography on silica gel, column chromatography on Sephadex gel, macroporous adsorption resin extraction and HPLC preparation. Compounds were identified withUV, IR, H-NMR, C-NMR, HMQC, HMBC and by their physical and chemical properties. The 1 13volatile oils composition was studied by GC-MS. Trachea in vetro was used to screen activefractions. HPLC methods were developed to determine representative compound. TLC andmicroidentification were used to identify medicinal materials.3. Results (1) Thirty-three compounds are firstly isolated from Artemisia halodendron by means ofdifferent chromatograms and twenty-six compounds are identified with the spectra methods, ofwhich twenty-two compounds are obtained from Artemisia halodendron for the first time . Thesecompounds are β-sitosterol, stigmasterol, n-hexadecanoic acid, Spathulenol,3,5-dihydroxy-7 ,4′-dimethoxy-flavanone ,cinnamic acid , hexadecanoic acid, ethyl ester,pentacosanol,Di[4-methoxyphenyl]- phenylmethanol, caffeic acid,eriodictyol-7-methyl,Cinnamicacid,rhamnetin,Cirsiliol,daucosterol,5-hydroxy-7,4′-dimethoxy-flavanone,stigmasterol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside,Cirsilienol,5,2′,4′- trihydroxy- 6,7,5′- trimethoxy-flavonoid ,Quercetin,p-hydroxy-acetophenone, isorhamnetin,5,4′-dihydroxy- 6,7 - dimethoxy-flavonoid,p-hydroxy-Cinnamicacid,isorhamnetin-3-O-glucopyranoside,caffeic acid- glucopyranoside,β-D - mannose,α-D-glucose,Sucrose,respectively. The chemical constituents of the oil isolated from Artemisia halodendron were analyzed byGC-MS and 11 components were identified as 2,4-Decadienal,Acetylfilicinic acid,Tetradecanoic沙漠嘎化学成分及质量研究acid,Dibutyl phthalate,2-Pentanone, 1-(2,4,6-trihydroxyphenyl),9,12-Octadecadienoic acid,2-Methoxy-4-vinylphenol,1,6,10-Dodecatrien-3-ol, 3,7,11-trimethyl,2H-Pyran-3-ol, tetrahydro-2,2,6-trimethyl-6-(4-methyl-3-cyclohexen-1-yl),Benzene ,1-(1,5-dimethyl-4-hexenyl)-4-methyl-,Spiro[5.5]undec-2-ene, 3,7,7-trimethyl-11-methylene . A comparing study on the volatile oil on theseed provided a way for identification ofArtemisia halodendron origin from different region.(2)TheactivefractionsoftheseedsofArtemisiahalodendronaretested,andtheAH-A,AH-Bfractions are found that they can calm down the asthma remarkably and the efficiency is better thanother fractions .(3)Choosing the AH-B as the target constituent and setting up the standard of contentdetermination and comparing the contents of the medicines which are gathered in different seasons.(4)The identification method of the seeds in pharmacognosy is firstly set up: The studies onidentification and uniform standard have no any report; this paper sets up the method to identificationby the studies on systemic separation of the chemical constituents.(5)The research...
