1 Objectives Stroke is the most common disease in the aged, which has damaged the health of human beingseriously. It is considered in TCM that stroke is caused by Qi and blood disorder, obstruction of thevessels and the functional derangement of visceral-Qi. It occurs in brain, and manifestshemiplegia.Yin-ao-Tong-luo Capsule is based on the train of thoughts of Wang qingren's Bu-yang-Huan-wu Decoction, and bold innvovation is used. It stress supplementing Qi and activating bloodcirculation, at the same time, it project phlegm and blood stasis producing toxic, and toxicimpairing the brains marrow. So the amount of Chinese drug of detoxifying is increased. It broadensthe new theory and train of thoughts on treatment according to the differentiation of symptoms ofstroke.To explore the therapeutic effect and the dose-effect relationship of Yi-Nao-Tong-Luocapsule on the focal cerebral ischemia in rats by different experimental ways. To observe thepreventive effect of Yi-Nao-Tong-Luo capsule on the thrombosis of rats'mesentery and on thecontent of serum TXB2, 6-K-PGF1 α,TNF- α and IL-2 and on adhesion of leukocyte,hemorheology induced by endotoxin in rats . To observe the effect of Yi-Nao-Tong-Luo capsule ondiffuse weighted image and energic metabolic change of ischemic-reperfusion rats . To explore theprotective effect of Yi-Nao-Tong-Luo capsule on ischemic neuron through observing theexpression of basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF) in the ischemic brain of rats induced byphotochemistry.2 Methods2.1 The focal cerebral ischemia model was induced by photochemistry in rats,all experimental ratswere divided into model group, large-dose, moderate-dose and small-dose groups ofYi-Nao-Tong-Luo capsule and control group for Bu-Chang-Nao-Xin-Tong. Yi-Nao-Tong-Luocapsule was successively poured into rats' stomach for 5 days begun in 3 hours after cerebralischemia was induced. Rats' weight and clinical score were detected each day. The brain wereexcised in the 5th day of postoperation ,HE stain and TTC stain were done for measuring volume ofinfarction and observing pathologic change.2.2 The thrombosis of rats'mesentery was induced by photochemistry. All these rats were dividedinto model group, large-dose, moderate-dose and small-dose groups of Yi-Nao-Tong-Luo capsuleand control group of Bu-Chang-Nao-Xin-Tong. Yi-Nao-Tong-Luo capsule was successively pouredinto rats' stomach for 5 days. In the 6th day the change of thrombus of rats'mesentery were detected.2.3 The thrombosis of rats'mesentery was induced by endotoxin. All these rats were divided intonormal group for detecting TNF-α and IL-2, model group, large-dose, moderate-dose andsmall-dose groups of Yi-Nao-Tong-Luo capsule , control group of Bu-Chang-Nao-Xin-Tong andpathologic control group. Yi-Nao-Tong-Luo capsule was successively poured into rats' stomach for5 days.
