Objective:The aim of this study was to explore the mechanism that the intervention by Tang-Xin-Tong in diabetes cardiovascular remodeling influenced diabetic cardiopathy generation and development. Methods:The study includes clinical study and empirical study. In clinical study, 86 cases of diabetic cardiopathy patients who belong to deficiency of both vital energy and Yin and sputum and congestion stagnating heart meridian were observed. They were randomly divided into two groups —the treatment group which included 45 cases were treated by Tang-Xin-Tong and the control group were were treated which included 41 cases were treated by Western medicine.. Through empirical study. Simultaneously in empirical study, the effects of Tang-Xin-Tong on chemical diabetic rats and Chronic myocardial ischemia rats were observed respectively. Results:Tang-Xin-Tong could cut down the blood sugar, subdue insulin resistance index and the blood insulin, drop glycosylated hemoglobin and blood-fat. At the same time, it could protect the endothelial cell, improve blood rheology, degrade blood-serum PIII P, restrain increase of Ang II and reverse heart ventricle hypertrophy. Conclusions:These results suggested that Tang-Xin-Tong could block the multi-factors of diabetes cardiovascular remodeling and preclude and reveres the process of diabetes cardiovascular remodeling through multi-factors. These express the idea of the following the prognosis of a disease and the organic conception of the human body of the traditional Chinese medicine.
