The Study Of The Mechanism Of Tumor-like Proliferation Of Synovicytes In AIA Rat And Regulation Of Decoction Of Mufangji

Adjuvant induced arthritis (AIA) is the best animal model to study RA, for it is very similar with RA in many ways of clinical symptoms, immunopathological and histipathological changes. So we choose AIA as animal model to investigate the mechanism of the tumor-like proliferation of fibroblast-like synovicytes (FLS) in RA and the regulation mechanism of Decoction of Mufangji in curing RA.1.Freund's complete adjuvant was injected in the hind footpad of rats to induce adjuvant arthritis (AIA), then measured the paw swelling of AIA rats at 2,5,10,17,28,39 day after injection. We fond that the swelling of AIA rats is manifest higher comparing with normal rats (P<0.01). And the weights and spleen and thymus index lower than normal rats, the dropsy of joints and infiltrate of lymphocytes manifest higher than normal rats at the 39 day after injection. After treatment with Decoction of Mufangji for 21days, the symptom of AIA rats relieved, the paw swelling decreased, weights and spleen and thymus index improved, the dropsy of joints and infiltrate of lymphocytes reduced.
